Permalico In Siena

We had lunch at this lovely, characteristic restaurant, run by very friendly and helpful staff. We had a mixed antipasto, pici cacio e pepe for the first course, and an exceptional tripe for the second course, washed down with a nice Chianti. I highly recommend it.

One night in Siena, we stumbled upon the Osteria, and what a find!! Pleasant atmosphere, good service, and impeccable food. 10/10 ⭐️

A restaurant just steps from Piazza del Campo, run by friendly and helpful young people. The atmosphere is intimate and very pleasant. The menu is meat-focused: the beef tartare and carpaccio are delicious. The lasagna in bianco (white lasagna) was less appealing to me, but overall the food was truly delicious and the quality/price ratio was fantastic. The restaurant also has a small outdoor area with a few tables along the alley near the entrance. Service is quick and friendly.

A late lunch in this warm, rustic Siena osteria, discovered purely by chance on a freezing Sunday in January. We found a truly welcoming, comfortable, and uncluttered atmosphere, with very kind, helpful, and friendly staff. The icing on the cake, not always a given in similar situations, was the incredible quality of the food we found. To start, an appetizer of bruschetta (black crouton) with chicken livers enjoyed by two, followed by a slice of beef with a flavor and tenderness unlike any I've ever tasted, a dish of tripe and sausage with tomato sauce with infinite flavor and aroma, and two side dishes (fennel and orange salad and a mixed salad) that were delicious and (surprise!) plentiful. All accompanied by two glasses of excellent Chianti and a coffee to finish. Our waiter also kindly offered us a taste of a delicious herbal amaro (a distillery in Prato; I'd appreciate it if you could remind me of the name). Everything was perfect, one of those Sunday lunches while visiting a wonderful city that you wish could happen every day. Congratulations, and we'll definitely see you next time!

Everything was excellent, the hosts were friendly, the food was exceptional, the location was incredible. The only downside was that we had to stop by in person to make a reservation due to a connection issue. Otherwise, everything was perfect. We hope to return.

Locale essenziale e caratteristico senese. Personale accogliente e gentilissimo. Ottima la scelta dei vini. Cucina tipica toscana meglio i primi dei secondi, specialmente i Pici del Permalico. Conto nella media. Da visitare assolutamente.

Abbiamo trovato per caso questa Osteria passeggiando per i vicoli di Siena vicino a Piazza del Campo, cosa migliore non poteva capitare, cibo ottimo di buona qualità porzioni abbondanti e ragazzi simpatici.
