The place is nice even if a little small and overheated.
Average service.
The cockerel was good, quite well cooked, better than other places in the same category I've been to. The waiting time was a little long but all in all acceptable.
Slightly higher level than the average steakhouse.

⚠️Brief summary at the end of the paragraph for the lazy ones😄⚠️
Very nice and original place, miraculously found on Google on a Christmas holiday when the only few restaurants in Piazza Unità d'Italia were crowded and full of tourists, this was the joker hidden in the corner where we easily found a place. As I said, the place is truly original inside because on the wooden walls of the kitchen/box in each block there is a different type of wood written with the description, that is: on one block there is "oak wood: used for...(and its other strong points)" on another block "cedar wood: ..." Etc... while on the walls on the left, side of the tables, there are written some dishes that offer something like "chicken embers: ..." And others that I don't remember.
The waiter/staff who welcomed us and took the orders was friendly and kind, my parents had chosen a grilled chicken with chips to split between 2 while I wanted to try the Sorrento gnocchi.
For the chicken he told us that it would take around 20/30 minutes because they cook it at the moment (I don't remember if that much or a little less, I'll start by saying that we arrived at 2pm and the place theoretically closed at 3pm), we waited until 2pm :30 but still nothing, I understood the timing the moment I saw that they had other tables before us yet to be served and ahem.
We waited a little longer and finally the chicken arrived, kindly already cut in two and already divided into 2 ready dishes, about 10 minutes later my gnocchi also arrived: there is nothing to say about the chicken, even though it seemed small, already only one half was full of delicious pulp, really good and the dippers were also crunchy and good, the gnocchi (first time I ate them like this) are served on a ceramic bowl on top of another plate as they are hot, also good with the melted mozzarella on the surface and the tomato inside, small and soft, the only flaw is that the tomato puree was not sifted and in fact in the gnocchi it was full of tomato seeds that were not so pleasant to feel in the mouth.
They also had a coffee and said it wasn't good though.
All this (including an extra portion of chips, a large beer and a medium one) at a price we would never have come close to imagining!!! With that money we could have had dinner in a real restaurant or eaten 6 whole pizzas somewhere else.
⚠️In short: very nice and original place, good food, highly recommended the chicken with dippers, so-so staff and service, fair but overall exaggerated unit prices.

Locale molto curato e pulito. Personale molto gentile. Cibo ottimo e di qualità con prezzi nella norma. Unica pecca è stata la dimenticanza dello sconto con la prenotazione the fork, ma per il resto un' ottima esperienza. Consiglio vivamente

Frequento da parecchio tempo questo bel locale,dotato anche di tavoli all'aperto di fronte al Teatro Verdi; specialità di carne, che ho trovato sempre piuttosto buona, ma i prezzi sono saliti troppo, anche del 50% in pochi anni: per cui non ci tornerò più!!
