One of my favourite pizzas (parmigiana) I’ve ever had. Very lovely service and a tiramisu to top it off.

The location is fantastic for tourists, but that then means there is a much lower chance of the restaurant actually being good — “the quality of a restaurant is inversely proportional to its proximity to tourist attractions.” Peppo is an exception. It is located in Trastevere, an area full of tourist traps, but it is actually good. I won’t say it is the best pizzeria in Rome, but it definitely gives humanity some hope - tourists actually have a chance to taste good pizza without being misled by overly generous five-star ratings from other tourists who are madly in love with almost anything the city offers. The Capricciosa comes with an egg on top, and the portion is generous. I saw some say that the staff are not good, but they were friendly and attentive in my opinion. Maybe I'll try their primi next time...!

Great restaurant on the other side of the river. We had pizza and some appetizers. All delicious. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. As the other reviews said the owner brought out the food to our table. He is so friendly.

We have been looking for some real Italian pizza for a week now. This is the one. The Margarita was perfect, and I couldn't have imagined any better ending of my trip to Rome. The crust was airy and fluffy, while the bottom was thin and light. Just enough fresh tomato sauce, and not too much cheese. We ate at 2 pm. It was nice, only locals were eating and we shared one Margarita pizza as a late lunch. Perfect for two people who wants a snack or perfect for one hungry person.

Great food, probably the best pizza we've had so far and fresh salad, great service, and clean bathrooms. No real air conditioning but that had fans going and it was still good!

I was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant with good food and relatively reasonable prices in Trastevere, which has unfortunately lost much of the quality of its authentic yet high-quality osterias (the tourist trap is now the norm). So long live Peppo, hang in there!

The children love Peppo, and so do we. Whenever we are in Rome, we try to eat there at least once. They have amazing food, and the service is always professional, friendly, and up for a joke. The owner/manager recognized us last night, after we hadn't been there for about 3 or 4 years. We immediately felt right at home again. We recommend Peppo to everyone.
