Peperino Pizza & Grill In Trieste

Magnificent. We had the caprese salad and the Trieste pizza and it was delicious. They attended to us and served us even though they closed in 15 minutes. Very friendly and polite. A very cozy place. Much better than the bars in the center that are meant to scam tourists. We will go again.

We found this restaurant while looking for a gluten-free place. The place is very nice, spacious inside and outside, well-kept and with a contemporary taste, just outside the historic center of the city but still easily accessible. We had a good time, too bad the dough for the gluten-free pizza was finished so I couldn't taste it, but I had the Mediterranean pasta, with slightly spicy tomato, oregano and burrata stracciatella: good, al dente! However, pizza with normal dough is atomic!! Super compliments indeed! Leavened very well, a high, tasty and airy crust! The tomato, mozzarella and anchovy filling was amazing, tasty, stringy and perfect. However, the menu is quite varied, there are several traditional Friulian and non-Friulian dishes, which is always very welcome when you want to taste local products! The service was friendly and fast, the only flaw was that unfortunately many things on the menu were sold out and I would say the quality/price ratio was quite honest, given the other places in the area, which are much more touristy and commercial.

Buona la pizza normale. La pizza celiaca non tanto.scrive che era fatta con la farina di riso....non era proprio buonissima,si impastavan in bocca. Ho assaggiato in altre pizzerie delle pizze celiache molto più buone,che le basi se le fanno fare da una panetteria specializzata senza glutine. Peccato,perchè i prodotti del condimento sono di ottima qualità... Lorena
