The coffee is definitely the best in Pavia on Viale della Libertà. The chocolate puff pastry is delicious. I recommend the pangialline around November, the best in Pavia. If I had to find a flaw, I personally don't like the cream, but it depends on your taste. The Torta Paradiso is obviously delicious, given that it was invented by him.

I would have liked to try the historic Torta Paradiso, but the opening hours here aren't correct and I found myself in front of the closed pastry shop door, what a shame...

La Casa sul Fiume

29/06/2026: A small restaurant overlooking the Ticino River and offering a stroll along the shore; very nice, though not fancy. The pizza is classic Neapolitan with a high crust. I personally don't particularly like it, but that's just a personal preference. The taste was good, and I'd eat there again. 🙌🏻 The staff was very kind (and patient!)! I'd say it's a recommended place for casual dining; I'd go back (maybe with some mosquito repellent). 👀
18/06/2026: In addition to the excellent food, customer care is also fundamental, a few more smiles wouldn't hurt... just as a few female presences among the staff wouldn't hurt, due to their natural predisposition to hospitality... beautiful location but not very well maintained... it would deserve a 9... for now a 7 is fine
