A few years ago, I tried a Saint Honoré cake, and I still remember how delicious it was, with large cream puffs filled with anise-flavored custard. Even though it was served too cold, I enjoyed it. I had another cake, but I have to say that, aside from the fact that it was still cold, like permafrost, the flavor wasn't great: the cream tasted too buttery, the sponge cake was dry, and the custard was flavorless. I was a bit disappointed.

I'm rating it for breakfast, not as a pastry shop, which I haven't had the chance to try. The deliciousness of the croissants, always fresh, has recently been underwhelmed by either the coffee (thin, sometimes burnt) or the cappuccino (the milk is "diluted," never creamy or foamy). On the other hand, it's the most expensive in the area. It wouldn't be such a big deal if the coffee service was of adequate quality. The place is small and, at certain times, crowded, making it difficult to find a seat. They do their best to satisfy the many customers behind the counter, but I'd consider focusing more on the preparation of coffees and cappuccinos than on speed. Personally, I'd happily wait a few minutes longer for a good cappuccino or coffee. It's barely satisfactory; it could be improved.
