Pasticceria Sissi In Milano

Breakfast near Piazza Risorgimento, an elegant area but with really tricky parking. We had a cream-filled round cake and a cream-filled Venetian cake. The rise was good, but the cream left us perplexed: too creamy in texture, with a rather strong alcoholic aftertaste and a flavor that was too floury. The small internal garden was lovely, and the service was friendly. Overall, a great experience.

My only regular pastry shop. For a lifetime now: their "modified brioche" with cream (or chocolate) is poetry, a cream-filled one like this doesn't exist anywhere else, it overflows, so much so that you always get a mess 🙈😍for me it's become an addiction. The best in Milan and for work I've been to quite a few in every neighborhood from north to south of the city! The cream is excellent, delicate and low in sugar (since I don't eat sugar except once, I'll warn you right away; anyone who writes that it's not good is obviously used to sweet and cloying custard). For me it's a real treat, my vice every Sunday or Saturday is having breakfast there, I sometimes eat two in a row! And I adore Signora Sissi. A bit crowded, precisely because so many people like it, I always go early in the morning as soon as they open so I'm served and revered right away when no one else is there yet. I've read several criticisms about not allowing dogs. It's a fairly recent decision, so ask yourself why. I've been going to this pastry shop for a while now, and it was a disaster. People would come in and leave their dog's poop everywhere. They often took advantage of the crowds and confusion to avoid cleaning up. The staff then had to do it, which is why it's unfair. Obviously, one gets exasperated and makes this decision. Maybe you should learn to manage your dogs better, because it's your fault they can't come in. When I come in here, I keep my dog in my bag, and that's it. If you can't, you can't. The end. Thank all the uncivilized people, along with their dogs!

Breakfast at Sissi is definitely the best for coffee, croissants, and pastries. I've been going there since 1990 and the quality hasn't changed. Today, I'm shocked by the "No dogs allowed" sign, which is appropriate considering the place isn't large and very busy. But when I asked, "How long have they been banned from coming in?" They've been telling me for a few months. "When I answered, 'Well, we can't have breakfast here anymore,'" they shrugged and laughed, as if to say, "Who cares?" Well, I'll do without your delicious croissants and your coffee because, while it's true that you don't need my €4.50, I don't need you either. Good luck!

A good snack experience; we tried the iced coffee, the caffè di crema, and a napoli. We were seated on the terrace at the back of the store, which was very comfortable as it was shaded under a carpet of greenery. The service was very friendly and helpful. Note: The racist caricatures on the "vintage" Banania boxes inside the store are probably not the best decoration, especially when hiring/welcoming people of color.

Tried their cakes at a wedding in Pavia. Cream with 10 and praise. Highly recommended!

I arrived at 4:30 and there were no croissants available, so if you want to try them, make sure to arrive earlier. The service is not the most friendly either and 4€ for a cappuccino is even dowdy. However, the small patisseries that we tried were delicious and the external area is super nice. Great place with some improvements to do.

must try pastry shop in Milan. sit in the garden and get a cream brioche, you won’t regret it…the freshest filling in a heavenly buttery croissant.
