A now-established pastry shop in Piazza Pio XI in Rome that makes delicious desserts. The place is welcoming and has a lovely outdoor area. The coffee is excellent. The only downside is the long lines at the register.

The octopus and potatoes didn't go together well, I'd recommend adding pesto, which is much better. I took some pesto from the gnocchi (which were excellent) and it was really good that way.

Swiss Sicilian pastries are a guarantee. It's an easy win. For Father's Day, among the traditional desserts, I chose the sfince di San Giuseppe because I was drawn to its beautiful filling, which made my mouth water just looking at it. Since it was my first time trying it, I was worried it would be too cloying, but, to my great delight, it wasn't. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, the fresh and creamy ricotta with large chunks of chocolate that paired harmoniously with the candied orange zest and cherry. The cream puff, even though fried, was light and not greasy. In short, a true delight. The only drawback was the high price, but then again, quality comes at a price. And in any case, the cream puff was so large and beautifully filled with such a generous amount of filling that it was worth two. Definitely worth trying (if there were any left).

For breakfast during our stay in Rome, despite it being a Sunday, perhaps precisely because it was a Sunday, the place was particularly crowded around 10:00. The pastry shop was more Sicilian than Swiss. Anyway, I ate a delicious croissant and drank a good coffee, although I stood up because it was too cold outside: so many people were at work!

I would have actually given less, but I hope someone decides to save this place from decline, so I don't want to contribute too much to the chorus of complaints. The lady at the cash register should decide whether to give up her seat to someone who can smile and respond to even a simple greeting, or at least try. There's no table service, but you can't abandon a nice dining room, turning it into a display of wine and coffee boxes, with the television on and no one to even clean a few tables or straighten a few chairs. The cappuccino was awful, but the cannoli was good, and the few times I visit, I do so for the quality of the pastries, but, as you can see from the reviews, it's not enough. I hope you get back on track, and find some desire and satisfaction in your business. Good luck!

Real Authentic Italian Coffe and Pastry Shop. It was busy with local people, but the lady behind the counter helped us and was very attentive. Tip for tourists: Take a order ticket first then order when your number shows up. Great cannolli and good coffee.
