Pasticceria Rizzardini prides itself on upholding the traditional experience of getting the day started with espresso and a cornetto (croissant) or other pastry, or, later in the day, a drink and a bite. The vintage wood interior is beautiful and the staff super friendly. Because of its proximity to our accommodation, we ended up stopping every morning of our 5-day stay in Venice. From our 2nd visit onward, Marta was chatting away to us as she did with the locals that find their way to the pasticceria, and even surprised us by coming by coming over to say hi when she noticed us having aperitivo at a bar nearby one afternoon. The bakery is located not too far from the Rialto bridge yet away from some of the hustle and bustle. Definitely worth a visit--or several!
