Pasticceria Remondini In Modena

A great place for a morning coffee and croissant, and an evening aperitivo. The Lambrusco Spritz is especially worth trying.

Delicious croissants and pastries, a unique and fantastic macchiato, for me the best in Modena. A very welcoming atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, with a few minor exceptions. The Veneziana biscuits with jam and the apple croissants are amazing.

Are you kidding me? Employees deliberately making fun of you? I've been going to this bar/pastry shop for 4-5 days a year in May (for work) since 2022, and something like this has never happened to me before: I order a latte macchiato and a croissant, which I eat (in a hurry) at the counter, and they give me the bill, which is €3.60, which is fine, but the day before I had eaten the same things, but the bill had been €4.30. So I'm wondering what was charged the day before. I open my wallet, take out the two receipts, and with, I emphasize, the utmost courtesy and shyness, I ask for an explanation (also because the €4.30 receipt said 'Cappuccino,' which I never order). The barista tells me that he was beaten that way because of the table service, and I reply, 'Oh, okay, now it's clear, thanks a million.' So far, so good, until she came out with this sentence (regarding the fact that I had shown the receipts and was addressing me informally) - "Keep them all, you know, maybe tomorrow we'll make you a €6 one." So: first point: 1) the customer has the right to keep the receipts and shouldn't be ridiculed for it. 2) Since I address the staff at the Remondini pastry shop formally, I don't see why they should address me informally. 3) It's a sentence that, frankly, could have been avoided. I won't say which of the two at the counter it was because I imagine the owners know who it is. I'm speechless.

We had two spritzes: they brought us patinas and some appetizers and the spritzes were more than decent.

A pastry shop overlooking Modena's Ducal Palace, in an excellent central location. Relatively fast service, well-stocked.

Excellent sweet breakfast. A vast selection of various pastries, all homemade. Fast and friendly service. A lovely, historic place, located in the heart of the city.

Finally a well-kept counter with so much choice...the savoury and sweet section with many variations...the only shame is the rude staff at the counter.

Excellent pastry shop in the historic center of Modena! The pastries and cookies are truly delicious. The prices are fair and not too high, I highly recommend! Top!
