Pasticceria Ranieri In Milano

Artisanal pastry shop on a small stretch of pedestrian street, shaded with tables and about 20 chairs outside. I ordered a cream croissant, a macchiato, and a chocolate cream puff because I saw it being made on the spot ;-). Both were truly delicious: the croissant dough was very good and light, and the cream was also good and held together well, but perhaps I would have added a little more filling to make the experience 5-star. The cream puff was truly delicious; the dark chocolate coating was still warm, while the chocolate inside was fresh and enveloping. I paid €5.40 sitting at a table. A fair price considering the quality of the ingredients. The place is a bit dated, but perhaps its strength lies in its vintage feel. Definitely worth a try for breakfast.
