Then there's the owner. And that's where the place changes dimension. She doesn't welcome customers: she reads them. She has that rare empathy of Romans of the past, capable of a sharp joke and a kind gesture in the same minute. You end up talking with her about life, wrong loves, cinema, melancholy, memories, and you realize that three hours have passed without weight outside. In some places, you consume. Here, you stay. There's a vibe that's hard to explain, almost spiritual yet earthly at the same time.
