Very good pastry shop, I recommend their custard

Spectacular cafe and pastry shop. I especially recommend the Sicilian cannoli. I've only tried the savory one once, but it didn't disappoint—very good. The staff is professional, fast, and knowledgeable; even when it's busy, they're quick and responsive. And it's a pleasure to chat during quieter moments!

My favorite cafe & bakery in Pavia - the staff are so friendly and the service is fast, and a good place to sit and read while enjoying a fresh cappuccino and adorable biscotti. Molto buono!

The desserts are extraordinary, superlative, truly top-notch. Unfortunately, however, the organization of the Via Giudi location leaves much to be desired: they advertise limited-edition or seasonal croissants on social media, but every time I went there early on weekends (three times out of three), they weren't available, and they don't even make them to order. Furthermore, the place is often neglected. I understand that breakfast may be the busiest time of day, but the tables and floor should still be cleaned regularly. Another flaw is the lack of cell phone reception in that basement-like space. I don't understand why they don't install a signal extender.

Too many highs and lows. Prices are too high, service is necessarily poor due to the lack of staff. A mini (but mini, barely 5 cm in diameter) sake costs 5 euros. So you expect it to at least be exceptionally good. No, dry, a thin layer of chocolate coating, no flavor. I don't want to be mocked like this. Too bad.

Had a lovely breakfast to go just a couple of minutes from the train station. Was literally blown by the variety of pastries on display. Ps. As they replenish the front desk you can get a glimpse of the laboratory where they prepare it all. Pps. If you have a knee problem/limited mobility have someone assist it's stairs all the way down.

I wanted to personally thank Pasticceria Demetrio and its manager, Francesca. They prepared the buffet for the inauguration of Atelier Blu Sposa's new location, and everything was truly impeccable. Francesca helped us understand how and how much to choose for our wedding cake and the miniature seven-layer cakes for our party. We were supported and advised even when other pastry shops discouraged us from choosing them. Everything was handled professionally. The cake was delicious, and all the guests loved it and asked for more. (Personally, I even saved some for breakfast, because it was one of the best I've had in years. The chantilly cream and pastry cream were fantastic.) Thanks to Francesca and the entire team!

Excellent pastry shop on a corner of the train station plaza. Delicious pastries and good coffee. Excellent place to relax or wait for a train.

I went to Pasticceria Demetrio on Via Alessandro Cividì in Pavia: an excellent breakfast with a beautiful and delicious Danish pastry, accompanied by a properly made oat milk. Everything was perfect... until I asked for a simple glass of hot water. This is where a little comedy of errors began: first they didn't understand, then they thought it was tea, and finally I was served a glass of water "heated" with great feigned conviction, but served as fresh as if it had just come out of the fridge. The result: no benefit for what I needed, except a slight irony in the scene. The lady, it must be said, didn't charge me: a nice gesture, but the poor service remains. In any case, for the quality of the pastries and drinks, it's worth returning... perhaps without asking for hot water!
