We have been customers of Dalmasso since they opened in Rivoli and in the past I had already reviewed the pastry shop, praising the products, which I continue to consider the maximum in goodness and elegance.
This time unfortunately the experience left a bad taste in our mouths, despite, I repeat, the excellent quality of the pastries: we hadn't been back for a while and we were amazed to learn that now we no longer pay for pastries by weight , but in a box. The different sizes with their prices are displayed on the counter, rightly so. I immediately realized that the proportions between quantity and cost no longer corresponded to those of the last time we had purchased them by weight (no years had passed), but never mind... The problem is that today we purchased a box for €22 and when we got home we weighed the contents: net weight about 260 grams. Which means 84 euros per kilo!!! And I read that others had it even worse: the reason is easy to understand, if to be clear, if I make a box of just chantillies which are light the cost per kilo will be even higher!
I'm sorry but we won't be back, I understand the increase in raw materials, I go shopping too and I realize, but this is called making fun of people.
I repeat, the pastries are always wonderful, but in Rivoli there are still excellent pastry shops, in business for decades, of excellent quality, perhaps not so top-notch, with lower costs... I'm very sorry, but I don't spend certain amounts of money.
And it's not just a question of getting the money out: it's actually the new sales system that's not very nice... here, among other things, we're not in London, Paris or NY, as someone writes, and there's no questioning the quality of the product, but there is a limit to everything: obviously I won't go to certain pastry shops in the area, which are as cheap as any, but luckily there are still valid alternatives. I repeat for the umpteenth time, with great regret, because I have eaten good and well-made pasta like Dalmasso's in my life (the 3 stars are just for that), but respect for the customer is as fundamental as the quality of the product.

Siamo clienti di Dalmasso da quando hanno aperto a Rivoli e in passato avevo già recensito la pasticceria, lodandone i prodotti, che continuo a ritenere il massimo della bontà ed eleganza.
Questa volta purtroppo l'esperienza ci ha lasciato l'amaro in bocca, nonostante, ripeto, la qualità eccelsa dei pasticcini: era da un po' che non tornavamo e siamo rimasti stupiti nell'apprendere che ora non si pagano più le paste a peso, ma a scatola. Sul bancone sono esposte le diverse dimensioni con relativo prezzo, giustamente. Ho intuito subito che le proporzioni tra quantità e costo non corrispondevano più a quelle dell'ultima volta in cui le avevamo acquistate a peso (non sono passati anni), ma pazienza... Il problema è che oggi abbiamo acquistato una scatola da 22 € e arrivati a casa ne abbiamo pesato il contenuto: peso netto circa 260 grammi. Che significa 84 euro al chilo!!!
Mi dispiace ma non torneremo, capisco l'aumento delle materie prime, vado anch'io a fare la spesa e mi rendo conto, ma questo si chiama prendere in giro la gente.
Ribadisco, le paste sono sempre meravigliose, ma a Rivoli ci sono ancora ottime pasticcerie, in attività da decenni, di qualità ottima, magari non così al top, con costi inferiori...mi dispiace tantissimo, ma certe cifre non le spendo.

Superlative in everything... from the pastries... to the panettone... etc... but the cake purchased for our son Alessio's Communion was world class... the sponge cake was very fresh... I could smell the fragrance as if it had just come out from the oven, the creams inside were sublime and the sugar paste (which I usually don't even taste) had a smooth and delicate consistency on the palate made of 'real' almond dough so balanced, harmonious and not at all cloying that it was impossible not eat it. Despite my diet I enjoyed 3 portions.
Thanks Monica and thanks to the girls who understood what we wanted to experience at the table on this important day and thanks, last but not least, to the pastry chef!

Pasticceria Dalmasso continues to not disappoint us. Brioches and bignole are a joy for the eyes and the palate. It would be nice if there was also a cafeteria part.

Excellent products, the only negative note is that at 10.45 am today (Sunday) there are only a few "bignoles" and nothing else. The other products "perhaps" would have arrived around 12. inconceivable!
