Cavour 1880 is a good quality pastry shop in Bergamo. The products are well made, refined, and the flavors are good. You can clearly see the craftsmanship behind each item. However, the prices are extremely high compared to the quantity. For example, I bought a packaged chocolate in a long 21 cm box, but it weighed only 30 grams, which means the price comes to about €30 per 100 grams. I also purchased four very small cookies, each weighing about 7 grams, and each one cost €1. In addition, I bought two medium-sized pastries at €8 each. Another downside is that prices are not clearly displayed for all products, which makes it difficult to know the cost before purchasing. While the quality is good, the portions are very small for the price paid. In my opinion, the overall experience does not justify the cost.

Just one word: excellence. A refined and elegant atmosphere, superb food (both desserts and the famous pasta with three tomato sauce), and kind and helpful staff. Prices are in line with the experience and location.

We went to this pastry shop today and tried eight pastries, from coconut to chocolate and hazelnut, along with little fruit baskets, all delicious and beautiful to look at. We also got a Christmas cookie: a little bear. The girl, Rebecca, who served us, was super sweet! Highly recommended!

Overall, the place is well-maintained, clean, and well-kept. Space is a bit cramped, the selection is limited, but the quality is very high. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the quality/price ratio is quite reasonable. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed one of Bergamo's specialties, "polenta e osei," which was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Not only was the interior decor exquisite, but all the pastries were displayed like jewels. They were a pleasure to behold!
