The manager is incredibly rude and acidic. Maybe he thinks he works on Via Montenapoleone in Milan when he's just talking about 'citano'. The girls are all good, especially the brunette with glasses. Good products, but definitely not cheap.

I frequent Cantolacqua Pastry Shop every day and would like to share a sincere observation, aiming to highlight what truly makes the place stand out.
Arianna is a rare professional: welcoming, attentive, and capable of creating a genuine relationship with customers.
She has a special eye for detail, remembering tastes and preferences without needing to repeat them each time, and she manages to make everyone feel cared for with ease and discretion.
For such a refined and refined establishment, a presence like her is not only important, but ESSENTIAL.
She is one of those faces that gives identity, continuity, and concrete value to a business.
Her presence directly impacts the quality of the experience: when she is there, the service is fluid, harmonious, and it's natural to stop and return. When she's not there, however, I simply continue on without stopping, and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, listening to the comments of other regulars.
Lately, however, I've noticed a certain inconsistency in her presence, and speaking with other customers, I've found that this feeling is shared.
Arianna is a precious resource, a true "pearl": a person with a sensitivity and courtesy that are increasingly rare these days, passionate about her work, and
capable of making customers feel truly "welcome."
This is why I believe her stable and continuous presence in the pastry shop would be a winning strategic choice: it would mean consolidating our regular clientele and maximizing an already evident strength.
I truly hope this resource can be retained permanently and continuously in the shop located in the heart of Civitanova Marche, because she makes a concrete, perceptible, and measurable difference, representing a genuine point of reference for customers.

We've been having breakfast at this small but well-kept place for years; sadly, the quality of the products has declined over time (while prices have risen significantly). Until a couple of years ago, choosing and enjoying a brioche at Cantolacqua was a "celebration": large, excellently filled, a wide selection at comparable prices. Then something must have happened, some unfortunate marketing decisions, I'd say: gone are the fragrant buttery flakes of the past (replaced by "baked" dough), the size of the pastries is now unacceptable considering the price (this one is "leavened," unfortunately!), and the fillings are dispensed "dropper-sized" (sometimes the cream or jam brioches are practically empty). Personally, I'm not on a diet and I don't agree with this commercial policy... there must be a choice for everyone, not just those who like "mezze-brioches", or the plain or vegan ones... Finally, another sore point: if there is a boy at the cash register (who also speaks very loudly) the moment of ordering generates anxiety; he asks you "in rapid succession" whether you're sitting down or not, if you're sitting where you're sitting and then - naturally - what type of brioche you want and since many of them now have different prices, you have to decide on the fly and above all be careful what you say since on more than one occasion I happened to hear him "reprimand" (in a loud voice) some customer who perhaps had made a mistake, paying for a brioche of a lower price than the one actually collected at the counter. I find the rest of the staff friendly, but it's true that, except for a couple of regulars, the turnover is quite fast, and I believe some are interns or students from hotel management schools who are working there on a "school-work" program. Moral of the story: we've been deserting them a bit lately, especially when we see how tiny the croissants are. There are excellent alternatives nearby... but this decline is still a bit disappointing...

The place is pleasant, and the pastries and macarons are good. However, I had a hard time ordering a drink, as I don't drink coffee, milk, or barley. Regular tea was removed from the menu, and for breakfast, they only offered infusions and herbal teas for €5. I would suggest differentiating the breakfast menu from the afternoon menu, especially if you don't want to offer a simple tea at a lower price (like €2) in the morning. Adding a €5 drink makes breakfast decidedly too expensive.

I went to this pastry shop because I had high expectations and for an important event, my son's first birthday. I explained in great detail how I wanted the cake in question, but these requirements were not met and completely distorted the idea I had. The main colors were supposed to be red and yellow and the theme was Mickey Mouse, the Mickey Mouse wafer was supposed to cover the entire cake... The result was a completely broken cake (the cream decorations), the color went from red to PINK, the color on top changed the entire cake and the Mickey Mouse wafer on top was faded. It was supposed to be sponge cake with pistachio and hazelnut cream, but instead the flavor seemed like a mess, the sponge cake was not tasted at all. EDIT TO BE FACTUAL!! I had initially left a negative review because the cake did not correspond to what I requested. However, I must recognize that the pastry shop handled the problem seriously and professionally, refunding me the full amount. Even though the experience didn't go as I'd hoped, I appreciate their helpfulness and honesty.
After a less than positive first experience, this time I ordered another cake and I have to say it was excellent.
It met my expectations, both in taste and appearance.
The staff was extremely helpful and attentive, and even though the cake was heavier this time, they gave it to me completely free of charge. Very professional and friendly ☺️
