The shop looks very fancy and the cakes were excellent; but the coffee was cheap and overroasted (or the coffee machine wasn't cleaned-up properly). The only places you can sit are outside and there's no access to restrooms

Ho acquistato diversi dolci da portare a casa. Posto molto piccolo ma raffinato, con musica classica e commesso gentile e veloce. Ottimo i biscotti al pistacchio e quelli al caramello.

Very nice staff, their espresso was amazing! They also have caffeine free options. The mini cakes are also very tasty. I wish there were tables inside as it would have been more pleasant than sitting outside.

Now for me a daily appointment in one of the historic cafés of Trieste, where I can enjoy an excellent coffee combined with excellent and beautiful desserts, both small pastries, biscuits, breakfast pastries and fantastic cakes. A special thank you to Lucy, who always gives a smile to all customers together with her great professionalism.

Ognuno ha preso oltre al caffe' un articolo dolce . I dolci ,tutti diversi ,hanno avuto un grande successo. Quello con la panna ,il classico maritozzo conteneva una panna gustosa .

Brilliant traditional cafe with the best cappuccino in the city. Be sure to try the Pistacchio Cornetti, they are magical. Otherwise very nice lady who serves you warmly!

traditional and beautiful attention. There is not much variety of sweets but those that are there are divine. The decoration of the place was paralyzed in the 40s, it is something that people like me who love places with soul and history enjoy. The young woman's attention is wonderful.

02/07/2024: The illy café is very elegant and is located in the pedestrian area of ​​the center of Trieste, offering a good view of the canals. In addition to the classic excellent quality coffees, drinks with particular aromas are also prepared depending on the season. The croissants are prepared fresh and have a soft interior and a crunchy crust, really delicious. I especially liked the almond one. The only flaw of the place in my opinion is the somewhat rude staff, but it's still worth stopping for a break.
12/06/2024: The interior of the store is ordinary, with no special features, but the staff is pleasant and friendly, and the pistachio croissants are delicious. The croissants are unique in that they have a somewhat thick cream like Nutella on them. Tiramisu is square in size, about 2 centimeters wide and 2 centimeters long, and is very bite-sized, so it is somewhat less cost-effective.
