I was delighted to try the famous "Sfoglio" in its classic version: simply wonderful. Perfectly blended, soft pastry, and a delicious interior. One of my favorite desserts, impeccably prepared by this pastry shop.

Excellent pastry shop in Petralia Sottana (PA). The owner is extremely kind and hospitable. They offer both traditional Sicilian and local products. I recommend trying the cheesecake and the ricotta and coffee pastry, which you can only find here. The Sicilian cannoli are also very good.

Pizzeria White Horse

16/10/2025: Lots of different pizzas where to choose. Every other customer seemed to know someone there, felt like dinning with locals. Pizzas were good, but not the best we have had in Italy.
06/10/2025: On vacation, we often choose restaurants based on their star rating on Google Maps. We would have expected more from a regular pizzeria. The dough lacked flavor, and sometimes the crust was soft. Ours at home are better. The staff was friendly and uncomplicated, and the place was unspectacular.
