When you enter you will be welcomed by the owner's sweet and friendly mother, who will always pamper you as if she has always known you, and then be accompanied to the table by his wife, always alert, quick and ready to fulfill your every request.
Once you are seated, he will explain the menu to you verbally, just hearing it makes your mouth water, but you will never expect to really eat so well.
Mixed house starter, which can be taken as a whole or in individual courses. Varied and abundant, high quality products and all local, chosen and artfully cooked by Federico, owner and chef, who moves with skill in a small kitchen managing to satisfy many people, who always remain happy and satisfied, so much so which, to be able to enjoy its cuisine on a Sunday for lunch, you will have to book well in advance, but don't be discouraged, it's really worth it. We periodically travel about 2 hours by car to enjoy his dishes.
The starters vary based on seasonality or availability, so you will always find fresh and freshly cooked products. Usually the appetizer varies from local cured meats and cheeses, coratella with egg and lemon, tripe with sauce, omelette with porcini mushrooms, pork rinds and beans, bruschetta with real bacon, sometimes also with porcini mushrooms, ascolana olives, which in our opinion are the best I've ever eaten, and the highlight of the courses, grilled porcini mushroom caps, almost impossible not to take 2 portions. During truffle periods it will also delight you with various dishes based on it, and with a very large sleeve when grating it on top. As a first course you will always find an excellent carbonara and gricia, and then always vary according to availability to tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffle, an excellent mutton sauce and more, all excellent and plentiful. Second courses based on local meat, always including mixed grill, seared lamb, sausage and more, all cooked to perfection and meat with a truly tasty flavour.
You will be so happy to eat that you will wonder why you didn't discover it sooner.
The bill is another pleasant surprise, almost unbelievable, and will be another reason why you will want to return.
The 3 hosts are exquisite, friendly and kind people, they will make you feel at home, and you will leave with the melancholy of not having this small restaurant next to your house.
