18/08/2026: Recently renovated refuge, very welcoming lounge. Helpful staff. We had lunch around mid-August with polenta and grilled cotechino and cheese. Excellent beer; I even bought a personalized aglio with the refuge's logo. The location is fabulous, highly recommended.

09/08/2026: One of the three refuges on the circular hike (Gnutti-Baitone-Tonolini), damn it, even though the sign from Baitone says 1 hour, it took us 45 minutes, but it really feels like we'll never get there... you can see it from above, it looks like it's there, but it's not (or maybe we were just tired after stopping at the other two...). Friendly and helpful service, expansive view, and a small lake out back with tables for drinks. Just enough time for a drink and a photo because we had to go back down, but satisfied!
