Panyllo In Messina

Small quaint place which had a large selection of food available. Both persons within spoke English and were accomodating. Only a small bar area to sit down and eat. Mainly a place to take your food away.

Because it has excellent Sicilian specialties

I ate an excellent arancini from Messina, one of the best in Messina. The filling was perfect, with well-cooked rice (in some takeaways in Messina, the rice could be spread on a sandwich 🤮). In Panyllo's arancini, the saffron is visible, and the rice is golden brown. Unfortunately, many takeaways in Messina don't understand that arancini rice should be yellow/golden, which is why they use saffron. I trust Panyllo to spread this detail and make it known to all takeaways in Messina.

I ordered via the app twice. Both times I got traditional focaccia, which was excellent, although the second time it was a little overcooked for my taste, but still very good. The traditional piadina is quite good, very flavorful and not at all greasy. The arancini... I was a little disappointed, the ragù was bland and very gassy. The gluten-free focaccia was decent, and despite the shipping, it also arrived crispy; usually they seem boiled... the gluten-free pizza, on the other hand... was not at all good, it was burnt and inedible. The only flaw is that they don't always maintain the same standard.

Everything is good, but the arancini are the best

In my opinion, this is the best pizzeria in Messina. Very tasty. The other specialties were also delicious. Keep it up!

I'd heard about this new place and it was described as one of the best rotisserie restaurants in Messina. We ordered 11 arancini to go. The service was courteous and prompt, but I've personally had better arancini. Our guests commented the same. The prices were truly reasonable, and the rotisserie was stocked with the best Sicilian specialties. Rotisserie service included.

Their products are truly delicious!
