The owner is friendly, calm, and knowledgeable. The food is good, very tasty, with strong, bold flavors. The service is fast. The restaurant is located in the city center, just steps from Messina's Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. You can dine inside or outside on the sidewalk in front of the entrance.

Romolo is the best place in central Messina to grab a bite to eat with good company. Romolo is the best person you'll ever meet. I highly recommend you come.

07/10/2025: Ate at this restaurant several times during the week and ordered pizza to take away - the Brontese pistachio pizza is the best pizza I have ever had! Very pleasant service. Sicily is great, incredible people 😍

05/08/2025: The staff was incredibly kind and the location was amazing. Alas, the food left a bit to be desired, a bit overpriced (we know that Panarea is like this and we don't expect anything different, but this was a real steal compared to what we were served). My risotto with arugula pesto had mayonnaise in it, which I found to be a poor choice as it was very acidic. For two dishes and two glasses of wine, we paid €96. The young man from Palermo who served us was super nice and professional.
