With the best Semola (Grano duro) bread with lievito Madre here in Catania. Fine cinnamon aromas can be perceived in the bread due to the quality of the flour. A detour is worth it just for this bread!

I love this historic bakery!!! Excellent food, each product is expertly prepared with the care of times gone by. Hot gastronomy at all hours. Biscuits, preparations, desserts, every product smells of quality!!! The lady who is always tireless and smiling behind her counter, made special by all sorts of delicacies, is very kind! Top in Catania center, an absolutely must-do stop!

12/03/2025: For a sandwich and a coffee, the motorway restaurants are excellent.
04/03/2025: I went there after already 3 hours of travel and I desperately needed to go to the bathroom. Having gone to the bathroom I go to get a coffee and I can't help but give in to having a good croissant and a good coffee; I say good because it was definitely not a starred restaurant but I was so hungry that everything was good. The environment was not exceptional and it was the usual environment of the motorway service stations in central Italy, a little old but not too old. All in all I also recommend it for families with small children because there is an area dedicated to them

Trattoria La Canonica

07/03/2025: The atmosphere of the restaurant is very special. The decoration is a strange mix of objects of different styles. The service is very fast, kind. The food was delicious, the champagne was excellent! And the homemade Limincello is perfect!! We had a fantastic dinner here!
03/03/2025: Particular characteristic place in the beating heart of Catania. Kind and attentive staff. Traditional dishes of Italian and especially Sicilian cuisine prepared with fresh, good quality products.
