No visit to Volterra is complete without trying one of these panini. They are traditionally made with great care and attention to detail. The selection is so vast that it's hard to choose.

Great sandwiches at reasonable prices. You can choose from a selection of pre-made options or create your own. The staff is friendly and eager to help you choose the ingredients. A basic understanding of Italian definitely helped, but it wasn't necessary, as the staff was helpful to everyone. :) I recommend it.

We don't recommend Affetaco Toscano. I find it disappointing that there's a sandwich you can order that consists of a bun and salami. There's no butter, no sauce, nothing. I don't know how much you have to pay for a good panini.

In the heart of Volterra, this excellent sandwich shop offers traditional Tuscan specialties. You can choose between a traditional sandwich, a cereal sandwich, or a focaccia, and you can fill it with a variety of fillings, cold cuts, and special spreads. Everything is delicious.
The house wine is also worth a try.
Excellent value for money.
Highly recommended.
