I went to Panificio Nazzareno for dinner with friends. We made a late reservation, which they accepted without hesitation, without any problem.
We arrived at the table and found a completely different scenario than what we'd been told over the phone: "Is it a problem if you order all the dishes you want now? Because the kitchen is closing soon." And without hesitation, understanding the late hour, we ordered all the dishes... The result? First courses (mostly not good) served before the appetizers, and the service was very annoyed. I do the same job as them, so I understand everything. But in these cases, it's best to say no...

"We don't use margarine" is the phrase written on a chalkboard near the entrance that caught my attention. And since I was looking for Saint Joseph's cream puffs made with the original recipe, that is, with butter, here I found the perfect pastry shop! I knew this place for its exceptional bread and for aperitifs, snacks, or delicious dinners, but not for its pastries. Excellent quality: the cream puffs and zeppole took me to heaven. Butter forever! I don't understand why margarine has now replaced healthy and expensive butter in every pastry shop I know. Perhaps too many lactose intolerant people? Perhaps for vegans? But you can't completely overturn a recipe! And besides, the widespread misinformation that puts margarine on the podium of healthy foods because it's plant-based is embarrassing. I'm not here to lecture, but educate yourself about margarine. Now I know where to buy sweets: from Panificio Nazzareno, where, among other things, the staff is kind, welcoming, smiling, professional, competent, and where everything is "goodness and quality."

Very friendly and welcoming staff, a good selection of wines, and a fairly complete menu. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. The tarts from the bakery at the entrance are delicious!!
