Recco PGI cheese focaccia is a delicacy that needs no introduction. Although many bakeries serve it, the one in Moltedo always stands out, rising to the next level. The place was recently renovated and now also boasts a bar area. The cash register is separate from the sales area, making the experience more seamless. The place is clean, welcoming, and the staff is truly kind, friendly, and helpful. Recco focaccia is an experience worth having at least once in a lifetime. And when I'm at Moltedo, I don't even ask about the price: I just order. The focaccias are served in large pieces, varying in size, but they're all a masterpiece. The dough is simple—flour, oil, water, salt—but the magic is in the cheese, which creates a subtle delight for the palate. Recco focaccia is undoubtedly their flagship product, but the bakery also offers other delicacies: fresh bread, Genoese focaccia, a spectacular onion focaccia (which has a unique flavor, unlike any other), pizza, and much more. Do we have a flaw? Well, perhaps the only flaw is that they make a lot of focaccia, but if you don't order it for dinner, you risk having to miss out. Furthermore, after the fire festival (September 7-8), the restaurant closes for about a month for holidays, so it's important to keep this break in mind if you plan on visiting during that period. In conclusion, Moltedo is a must for those who love Recco focaccia and want to savor one of the best around.

Top marks for both the plain and cheese focaccia. Top marks for honesty (I lost my wallet in their bakery and they handed it over to the Recco police station). I will always be grateful for their kindness.

As for the food, especially the Recco focaccia, it was excellent. The best. Regarding the service, I've read more than one negative comment. I disagree with them. My experience was very positive in this regard as well.

In Recco, focaccia reigns supreme, but NO ONE makes it better than Moltedo. I'm from Milan and have known this bakery for 49 years...it has NEVER disappointed me! It's the BEST!

We ate the best cheese focaccia in Recco we've ever had! It's absolutely delicious, so perfect: piping hot, soft in places, crunchy in others, stringy, and with a unique flavor. We also tried the onion version and the plain Margherita, both delicious. The setting is a simple bakery, welcoming and well-organized. The service is excellent; the sales staff are very friendly and quick.

Turkish Kebab

10/09/2025: The best place before and after training. They pile on the heart meat. Even if it's rotten, the main thing is to ask for it. For five euros, they gave half a kilo of yesterday's chicken, and only that. Fresh. It's up to you to decide where to get a light, yet digestible, protein from the bird. In short, ask and you'll get a serving of yesterday's fried bird three times the size and volume. Super place!!! I recommend it to everyone, especially on this street!!! !!! !!!

02/05/2026: An experience not to be missed! Very friendly staff and spectacular dishes with a unique view
26/04/2026: It was certainly an interesting and, in some ways, enjoyable experience, but honestly, I don't think I'd do it again. Let's start with the location: we're in Portofino, so the setting is undoubtedly evocative. However, the restaurant itself didn't particularly impress me aesthetically, and more importantly, it was cold during dinner. The heating wasn't on, and virtually all the guests were sitting in jackets or sweaters: we never managed to remove our jackets either, which impacted the overall experience. Regarding the cuisine, there's nothing to complain about about the professionalism of chef Mattia Pecis: he introduced himself personally, and his great passion and talent are evident. A young but already highly skilled man, he's the restaurant manager and the mastermind behind the menu. I truly have great respect for him. The tasting menu is interesting, with some truly excellent dishes: especially the Russian salad and the "garden of the vegetable garden," both extraordinary and perfectly executed, in true Cracco style but with a lovely personal touch. Other dishes, however, were more divisive: the "eye" was difficult to appreciate, both in terms of taste and aesthetics, while the bitter orange risotto wasn't particularly well received at the table and was even difficult to finish. Overall, the use of very bitter citrus fruits didn't convince me. A very positive note, however, was the customer service: they were extremely attentive to my lactose intolerance, demonstrating care and professionalism. The service overall was impeccable, with friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. The opportunity to tour the kitchen and receive explanations, such as how to dry-age the fish, was also greatly appreciated. One aspect I didn't like was the inability to choose different menus at the table: there were four of us and we were all forced to choose the same tasting menu, despite two options available at different prices. Finally, the price: definitely too high for the overall experience. We spent around €1,100 for four (a €210 tasting menu per person plus wine), and honestly, I don't think it was justified given what we ate. In short: an interesting experience, with its ups and downs, but not compelling enough to want to repeat.
