I highly recommend Panificio Giummarra to anyone who wants to savor authentic traditional Ragusa specialties. Came here as recommended by the local tourist office and Gemini. It was very busy at 1pm when we were there. There were only two chairs for inside seating. The scacca was amazing. When we first saw it in the display case, it was honestly not too impressive. Folded flatbread with tomato sauce, cheese and herbs. After just one bite, we couldn't stop eating it. Flavour is rich and has a lot of depth. You can see the layers. It's like a lasagna made by layers of bread, eaten handheld. So good!

When I visited Ragusa, I heard this was a shop where locals go to buy food, so I went to check it out. Even when I was there, customers kept coming in one after another! It might be an exaggeration to say it was 30 centimeters in diameter, but it was about that big, like a pizza with a lid (?!). I bought a biscotti & focaccia for 4.40 euros. It was incredibly delicious! Very filling too!!! When I bought it, the shopkeeper asked if I wanted it warmed up, so I said yes. They wrapped it in aluminum foil, and I devoured it piping hot while looking at the night view of Ragusa Ibla. Moments like these are unforgettable moments in life, this is happiness for me!! I want to go back and eat it again. Thank you to the shopkeeper for your kind service!

An excellent Ragusa bakery where you can experience the flavors of traditional Ragusa. A must-try ricotta and campagnola nturciunata. A welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff.

Honestly, the scaccia of this bakery was one of the best foods we had during our trip to Sicily. We tried many flavours and my favourites were tomato and cheese, sausage, and aubergine. For a very cheap price you can have an authentic and great meal.

It's not the Giummarra it once was; the prices are sky-high, and there are plenty of good alternatives out there. I should point out that the products are good.

Oh my goodness, it's so delicious! You have to try it. It's much more delicious than the Neapolitan pizza that was too salty for me.

I had a delicious Scotch. While I couldn't communicate in English, I was able to communicate using a translation app. They were incredibly friendly. However, I ordered the Scotch to go, and when I took a bite, I had to remove a long hair from my mouth, which slightly upset my stomach. That was probably a mistake. It's definitely worth a try, and a decent meal.

Found through a web search... given the time I arrived, there was little choice of scacce but the ones I took (the ragusane) were delicious, tasty, really thin dough, compliments, I also took the milk biscuits with them, excellent, light and usable.... What can I say, go there, you won't regret it.
