The food was amazing, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff was attentive. Highly recommend the Peposo (slow braised beef) and the Sea Bass. If you're looking for something more simple, the Tagliolini (fresh made pasta) with butter and truffle also was fantastic. Molto Bene!

We were in Florence for work and returned every night to eat.
The food is excellent, and far superior to other highly-reviewed restaurants in Florence.
The Florentine steak is also exceptional.

This is the best restaurant right here. I'm in heaven with chef Adriano Castellucci's peposo e carote 🥕, it literally melted in my mouth. The burrata-filled ravioli are fantastic, a real treat, and the still-warm chocolate and Maldon salt cake is a sight to behold! I highly recommend coming here!

Well may you suppose that there’s some story, indeed, some really eventful Italian tale how this place got its name (“etiology”). It’s there, you’ll find it, but I want to say how wonderful I found is the food. I come to Florence twice a year, and this is now my favorite place by far. I’ve eaten here five times in ten days. I had the mixed salad once, and I insisted they do the dressing. (In Italy they leave you the oil, balsamico, and salt. You do it. But not me.) The waitress couldn’t, but the maître d’ did it splendidly. I asked for white wine, they gave me the choices, and I discovered a glory, a Vermintino of Bolgheri. It was wonderful! An omen. Everything else was just as wonderful. The most delicious asparagus risotto ever and a tremendously excellent filet of Tuscan (Chianina) beef —to die for. I was in Florence ten days this time, five of them at Palle d’Oro. ( I’ve had spaghetti alla carettiera, also aglio-olio, beautiful.) I recommend this place enthusiastically over everywhere else and couldn’t be happier.

I came here because I heard it was mostly locals, but surprisingly, there seemed to be a lot of non-locals.
The staff were very friendly and treated me kindly even though I only ordered a salad and pasta.
