Palinuro Ristopesce In Catania

Unfortunately in a city of incredible food, this one is just fine. The quality and taste would satisfy a tourist for sure, but once you have spent a lot of time in Catania you know you can get much better for the same price or less. If you are a fish lover they do have a good selection though. I would not go back myself but it's an okay option for dinner.

We went to Palinuro Catania for dinner and left really satisfied. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, with attention to detail but without being excessive: perfect for a quiet evening of good food. We started with a really well-made fisherman's risotto: tasty, rich in fresh seafood and with the rice cooked perfectly, al dente as it should be. Followed by paccheri with sardines and wild fennel, a traditional Sicilian dish executed very well, with an excellent balance between the flavor of the sardines and the scent of the fennel. Fried calamari couldn't be missing: light, crunchy and not at all greasy. Truly one of the highlights of the evening. Finally, we tasted the swordfish rolls, soft, well seasoned and with a tasty filling that did not cover the flavor of the fish but enhanced it. The service was friendly and attentive, without ever being intrusive. The staff were able to advise us with competence, transmitting passion for what they do. The quality-price ratio is also excellent, considering the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in preparing the dishes. Ultimately, Palinuro is a restaurant that we highly recommend to those looking for fresh fish cooked with respect for tradition and a touch of creativity. We will definitely be back! We ordered several “antipasti” of arrancini, mussels with gorgonzola, foccacia, etc… and found it very good. We wanted to discover several local specialties.

Nice arancini with sepia, salmon and salty ricotta on top. Pasta Norma OK, but the fried calamari could use some nice aioli sauce. Wine reasonably priced.

Local que encontramos de casualidad por las calles cercanas a la vía Etnea. Quisimos probar y que gran elección! Súper recomendado. Producto de alta calidad, cocinado con gusto y amor y precios súper competentes.
