I used to come here for lunch sometimes. The food is delicious. The other day, I decided to have an early lunch. Google said it opened at 12:00, but when I went up to ask if I could have lunch, I was told in a rather unpleasant manner that the osteria only opens at 1:00 and that, in fact, only hospitals serve lunch at 12:00. I understand, but they could have responded more kindly. It ruined the experience. Too bad.

The choice was a random one, found online. We were a group of pilgrims and needed something close to the basilica. We didn't regret it for a second. The food was delicious and plentiful, and every request was accommodated. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. I would like to thank the owner again for his patience and willingness to help me with any requests I made, including making changes for those with food intolerances. And what a surprise, I discovered the delicacies in a separate area, offering typical local products and a great selection of wines.

My son came to visit with his wife and daughter, and I had the idea of ​​taking them to eat at this osteria, not far from my house. We'd been there before, but many years ago. My hope was that they'd be satisfied with the place and the meal. And so they were. They were from Rome and hadn't heard of "spaghetto allo scialatiello." So they ordered it at my guaranty and savored all its deliciousness, even mopping up the bread with the mozzarella! They also enjoyed the rich and varied appetizers and the excellent house wine, just as enthusiastically. In short, they enjoyed it so much that they left their plates clean, intending to return every time they visited. The price was as good as the food!

I went to this tavern for the first time for lunch on Sunday. A really nice location, air-conditioned and well-kept room but small bathroom. We tried both seafood and meat appetizers. Both good but the octopus salad was slightly salty. The baby octopus were good but cuttlefish and peas without chili would be better. The meat appetizer was average. The choice to serve 4 seafood first courses on the same tray should be reviewed. Personally I prefer the single dish. The seafood first course was good but the choice to dress it with basil was terrible as it doesn't go well with seafood at all. Average price.
