Osteria Tananai In Brescia

We were visiting the region with a group of friends. This osteria was a unique experience because the place looked very cozy and atmospheric from the outside but the staff didn't speak English. After struggling with the menu, the old lady who's probably the owner or senior waitress pretty much told us what to choose. We accepted her recommendation and had a fantastic meal! Everything was fresh, delicious and made from premium ingredients. We had a great time!

A quaint Brescian restaurant in the most central neighborhood... Il Carmine Exquisite food, excellent first courses, exquisite second courses, and delicious desserts. Overall, a delicious lunch. Fast and friendly service. Fair value for money. Not to be missed, it's best to book.

One of the most Brescian places in Brescia... all super typical and homemade dishes but above all one better than the last... the owner is super friendly but also very Brescian so don't be offended if she answers you in dialect because it's part of the uniqueness and typicality of this restaurant... highly recommended! ♥️

An absolutely excellent Brescian osteria. The menu is very unique: there's no paper menu, but rather the owner herself, who explains the Brescian dishes and specialties. The place is very clean and charming, in the heart of the Carmine neighborhood. The artisanal bigoli with broccoli, chili pepper, and anchovies are excellent. The blueberry tart is amazing. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Tananai is a historic trattoria in Brescia. True to its name, the dishes are few but well-prepared. The service is impeccable. The girls are extremely kind. And the owners, lovingly grumpy, tend to define and characterize the unique atmosphere here. Recommended, try at least once.

An old-fashioned tavern, a gloomy but very clean atmosphere... the staff was very cold, almost grumpy in appearance. We asked if it was possible to have the menu and were told no, as only one person can tell you that verbally. When she started listing the dishes, there were about 16 first courses and 11 second courses, and when we asked her to repeat them, she looked at us annoyed. From experience, I recommend that if you want to use this method, either go à la carte or reduce the number of dishes, because by the time you list the last one, the first courses have already been forgotten. They don't serve appetizers, and since there's no paper menu, there's no way to see the prices, so even at the counter, you don't know what you're paying or how much. The food was good, but nothing special. The €3 cover charge seems a bit excessive. I wouldn't go back!

Trattoria in Brescia's historic center, in the Carmine neighborhood. Spectacular traditional Brescian food in a beautiful and welcoming setting. It was my first time here, as a Brescian, but I'll definitely be back. Truly excellent! Congratulations!
