Spartan environment with excellent food!?

We are from Rome, we were passing through on our way back from Siena and we stopped in this restaurant..Everything was cooked very well. And we like it..Friendly and quick staff..The only negative note is that they don't bring you a menu..For the rest..We will be back..the cuisine deserves it..😁

Very high quality/cost ratio. Very spartan environment... but typical of an old tavern..!! The service was quick and courteous without too many salaams!! Must try.

The environment is tiny but the guys are very kind. Unfortunately we didn't eat because it was a small place and it required a reservation. We grabbed a sandwich on the fly after a long wait, delicious and genuine.

Si parla di un'osteria dove, oltre a mangiare piatti tradizionali della zona, si possono anche acquistare generi alimentari di varie tipologie. Ormai, da molti anni a questa parte, per me è una tappa fissa quando mi trovo per lavoro a Siena. Ambiente da "osteria", cordialità dei proprietari e dello staff di sala, cucina con vecchi sapori che ti riportano indietro nel tempo. Appena ti siedi trovi sul tavolo un tagliere con focaccia, salumi, formaggio e crostini, in modo da iniziare piacevlmente il pranzo: buoni i primi con vari sughi, pici all'aglione, al ragu di chianina, pasta e fagioli; tra i secondi, oltre alla tagliata e alla fiorentina, da menzionare il pollo alla cacciatora, il cimalino ripieno(che non trovi in molti ristoranti della zona), la trippa "stellare" e di venerdì anche il baccalà. Qualitàprezzo ottimale, in linea con quello che mangi. Grazie ragazzi per i tanti pranzi nel vostro locale.

non è possibile che esistano (anche a Siena) posti ancora cosi...cucina tradizionale con ingredienti e materiale di tutto rispetto e con prezzi da vera antica osteria!...E' tutto buono e servito in porzioni piuttosto abbondanti...non dico altro...andateci!!
