Osteria Tacabanda In Asti

A quaint restaurant with a barrel-vaulted ceiling and a modest dining room. Outdoor seating is also available in the summer. It's popular with both locals and tourists, thanks in part to its central location. Excellent Piedmontese cuisine and an extensive wine list. The very helpful staff are a plus.

They are very attentive and fantastic service! As soon as I said I am celiac, they proactively brought gluten free crackers for me. They have plenty of GF options in the menu although they can not guarantee 0 cross contamination as they also serve few gluten dishes. Most of menu dishes and desserts are gf (all the ones that have a tomato icon are GF!!). in a very nice area as well and food was delicious for the 4 of us! The owner was very very nice with us, also attentive to the children

We've been to this restaurant before, and each time we're amazed by the menu, which is packed with so many unusual dishes. The atmosphere is casual, yet welcoming and cheerful. The food is excellent and the service is super fast. A big thank you to Jessica and Nico; we'll be back soon.

A good tavern in the center of Asti

Esperienza molto positiva, locale in uno scantinato, piccolo ma molto caratteristico. Il menù offre parecchia scelta, con piatti anche molto particolari, buoni e di ottima qualità, poca attesa per il servizio. Complimenti al gestore e ai ragazzi che ci lavorano, cordiali e disponibili. Meglio prenotare!

Sotto il teatro Alfieri è l'unico sotto che c'è all'osteria TACABANDA. Luogo magico per un'osteria, si scendono le scale per raggiungere una serie di tavoli da vera osteria. Quante ce ne sono di false. Piatti astigiani/piemontesi veri, senza concessioni al gourmet, finalmente. Piatti abbondanti, saporiti, sinceramente osterici. Che bello. Ascoltando il "popolo" accanto a te, intorno a te. Sublimi ravioli al plin. Io ho assaggiato la zuppa di trippa. Per me la trippa è il caviale di bovino. In questa versione, insieme alla bietola non l'avevo mai assaggiata. Un vero piatto di cucina povera. Dolci fiabeschi. Grande Nicolò che ti accudisce, non un cameriere, un tutore. Dovrò sicuramente tornare per assaggiare altri piatti. Bravi. Grazie 🙏
