We've been to this restaurant before, and each time we're amazed by the menu, which is packed with so many unusual dishes. The atmosphere is casual, yet welcoming and cheerful. The food is excellent and the service is super fast. A big thank you to Jessica and Nico; we'll be back soon.

We had lunch outside, a pleasant and very quiet as well as intimate environment. The very rich menu, interesting even for the most extravagant in terms of culinary combinations!
First, I asked the waiter for advice regarding the typical dishes, yes I didn't ask chat gpt, we maintain human relationships when we can.
I "chose" as an appetizer: smoked goose ham with chestnuts in Barolo, first course: agnolotti stuffed with donkey with butter and thyme, second course: horse cheek braised in Barbera accompanied by a glass of Barbera d'Asti, finally a normal coffee and not because I didn't want to try the dessert, recommended to me by the magnificent professional waiter: bônet with flakes of nougat, but the portions were so satisfying that I had no more space!
The flavors enhanced in each dish, keeping in mind that the dishes I chose have medium/strong flavors so I suggest them to those who like to feel the smoke rather than the wine. Attention to detail greatly appreciated, both towards the customer in recommending and in managing each dish with short and correct times, but also in the service of fresh bread and breadsticks as soon as you sit down, asking if you would like parmesan for the first course, bringing coffee with the option of choosing cane sugar and/or normal sugar (little things that make the difference).

One of the best dinners I’ve ever had!! The place is cosy, the staff is friendly and helpful and the food is so interesting and delicious. I was not expecting to have pasta with gelato or horse meat with chocolate… but WOW. Thank you!! For sure we will be back soon.

Sotto il teatro Alfieri è l'unico sotto che c'è all'osteria TACABANDA. Luogo magico per un'osteria, si scendono le scale per raggiungere una serie di tavoli da vera osteria. Quante ce ne sono di false. Piatti astigiani/piemontesi veri, senza concessioni al gourmet, finalmente. Piatti abbondanti, saporiti, sinceramente osterici. Che bello. Ascoltando il "popolo" accanto a te, intorno a te. Sublimi ravioli al plin. Io ho assaggiato la zuppa di trippa. Per me la trippa è il caviale di bovino. In questa versione, insieme alla bietola non l'avevo mai assaggiata. Un vero piatto di cucina povera. Dolci fiabeschi. Grande Nicolò che ti accudisce, non un cameriere, un tutore. Dovrò sicuramente tornare per assaggiare altri piatti. Bravi. Grazie 🙏
