We walked into the restaurant thinking we had a reservation and I shortly realized I made it for the wrong day. The staff advised they were fully booked but they accommodated us. The manager was so friendly and helpful. We got great service, and the food was so delicious. We spent 3 weeks traveling through Italy and this was the best restaurant we visited!! Book your reservation in advance and try this place out, you won’t regret it.
Get the lasagna and crème brûlée and tiramisu!

The lasagna is delicious with mushrooms and truffles. The buffalo cheese is delicious, the Milanese is delicious. The restaurant is very cozy, small, and pretty, very close to Piazza del Popolo and the river, far from the chaos. I returned after two years; recently remodeled, much more elegant, and just as delicious.

After traveling throughout Italy for three weeks we finally found this place, and it was the BEST food we’ve had the entire trip. The service was excellent (we accidentally made our reservation the wrong day and they still got us a table on a busy Saturday night), the restaurant has recently been renovated and is very charming, the the food was perfect. The truffle lasagna is a MUST. We also had the cacio e pepe with crispy artichokes and both the crema catalana and tiramisu.

My family all agrees. This was the best meal we had in Rome. The food was excellent. The Manager and servers were terrific. Its a must stop when you're in Rome.

The four of us at the end of our Italian holiday enjoyed a most pleasant evening in St. Ana, in no small measure due to the attention of Francesco and his staff. The fare was excellent and the suggested wine hit the spot. A fun evening with lovely food in an atmospheric premises. Thanks Francesco 😄

Truly one of the hidden highlights! We had the carbonara and the truffle lasagna (my favorite, surprising and super delicious), and Francesco is a wonderful host. Definitely recommend it!

Se siete in cerca di un posto buono e autentico per mangiare vicino alla iper-turistico Piazza del Popolo a Roma, Osteria Santa Ana è la scelta migliore. Si tratta di una taverna popolare tra la popolazione locale e serve tradizionale cucina romana con un tocco da gourmet e l"accento sulla tradizione e ottima materia prima. Un consiglio: hanno una bella terrazza sulla strada, vi consiglio di chiamare in anticipo per prenotare un tavolo fuori (dovrete prenotare on Venerdì e Sabato in ogni caso, perché è molto popolare e si riempie in fretta). Il cibo è eccellente. Per cominciare, vi consiglio di ordinare il formaggio pecorino fresco al forno con tartufo nero grattugiato.
