An informal and welcoming place, with a new staff from 2023 and a friendly service offering pizza by the slice and tasty dishes cooked to perfection. The room is simply furnished but with comfortable tables and a good number of seats. As soon as you enter you notice a semicircular bar counter and in the middle of the room dominates the hood of the wood-fired pizza oven which is prepared in large circular pans. If you want to try fried gnocco with high quality cured meats, like staying in a typical Emilian tavern, you're in the right place! The first and second courses of meat will amaze you and you can accompany them with genuine and very pleasant wines. At midday there is a fixed menu at reasonable prices and it is also possible to order à la carte. Let Simone advise you and you will be delighted by flavors that will amaze you!!! The strong point, in addition to the fried gnocco with San Secondo shoulder, are the meat dishes and the first courses. Absolutely worth trying!! Compliments.

I tried both lunch and dinner and in both cases what I found was the great attention paid to the choice of the quality of the raw materials. The pizza is EXCEPTIONAL, Milanese style. Note of merit for the service that is always present but never intrusive.

A distanza (purtroppo) di tempo siamo tornati qui oggi per pranzo, uscendone come sempre pienamente soddisfatti, tanto dalle vivande, quanto dalla consueta accoglienza cordiale. Abbiamo iniziato con la prelibata Spalla di San Secondo, accompagnata da gnocco fritto soffice e leggero. La scelta della "spalla" è dovuta, oltre a personale predilezione, alla memoria di Giuseppe Verdi, suo cultore sapiente e rigoroso, che tra due settimane tornerà in scena alla Scala con "La forza del destino" (una forza alla quale anche noi, nel frangente, abbiamo gioiosamente ceduto). Siamo poi passati alla guancia di vitello a lenta cottura su letto di patate schiacciate: morbida e delicata, quasi una "crema" grazie alla cottura perfetta. A conclusione lo squisito tiramisù della casa, deciso ed equilibrato nel contempo. Da bere la corposa e suadente Bonarda dell'Oltrepo Pavese, anch'essa della casa, a noi ben nota e rivelatasi ancora una volta eccellente accompagnatrice. Si mantiene inalterato, oltre a quello della qualità complessiva, il valore aggiunto del tratto affabile e gentile della gestione, in un'atmosfera di "vecchia osteria" ma al passo coi tempi.
