Piazza delle Erbe is the beating heart of Verona, a place that encloses centuries of history and charm in every corner. Surrounded by medieval buildings, Renaissance palaces and ancient towers, the square is a true open-air museum, where every detail tells the glorious past of the city.
In the center stands the Fountain of Madonna Verona, with its statue dating back to Roman times, a symbol of continuity between past and present. Around it, the frescoed facades of Palazzo Maffei and Case Mazzanti add a touch of elegance and color, while the Torre del Gardello and the Torre dei Lamberti dominate the scene from above, offering a unique view of the city.
During the day, the square is animated by the market, where you can find souvenirs, typical products and local crafts. In the evening, however, the atmosphere changes: the clubs and restaurants fill up, offering a lively and evocative experience under the soft lights of the street lamps.
Piazza delle Erbe is the perfect place for a stroll, to admire the Veronese architecture or simply to enjoy a coffee while observing the city life. A place that enchants at any time of the day and that best represents the soul of Verona.

One of the must visit places while in Verona. Very vibrant and lively square with market display in the middle. Perfect for Instagram pictures and capture the stunning architecture of the city. It is also a good place for dinner, wide choice of restaurants and good Aperol Spritzs 😊.

A lively square in the center of Verona.
A market is held daily in the center of the square, and tables from restaurants, bars and cafes line the sidewalks.
Fruits, clothing, miscellaneous goods, etc. were sold at the market.
Just a short walk away is Verona's most popular tourist spot, ``Juliet's House,'' known as the setting for Shakespeare's masterpiece ``Romeo and Juliet.'' It is said that if you touch the right breast of the Juliet statue in the courtyard, happiness will rain down on you, and many tourists lined up to see it.

Beautiful central square, better when there is no market obstructing the passage and the view of the historic buildings
