I tried a lot of recommended restaurants in Rome, but 44 Osteria Quarantaquattro was by far my favorite. Hands down the best pasta I had in Rome. The owner was wonderful, the vibe was amazing, and you could really feel the care and passion behind everything. The pasta and every dish we had were unique, flavorful, and anything but generic. It felt like a real experience, not just another dinner. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

It has been a long time since I enjoyed food as much as I did in this restaurant. I was alone on a business trip and stumbled on this restaurant by chance. Service was very hospitable and quick. Background music from the 50s. I had a full meal and the price was reasonable. I recommend to eat slow, and enjoy.

We went with friends after watching the TV show Foodish...and it confirmed to us that, unfortunately, everything you see on TV is fake and manipulated. La Gricia wasn't bad, but it wasn't exceptional. The restaurant was a bit pricey and definitely not typical Roman. I'm sorry, but I can't recommend it.

My wife and I went in for our last dinner before leaving Rome and we were so pleased. Food was excellent, the atmosphere relaxing and the staff attentive. Will definitely return on our next visit to the city. I suspect need for reservations varies with the time of evening.

06/05/2026: The olive ascolane was so unique . Pizza was good, pasta was great. Only the tiramisu was overly sweet . Staff were attentive n friendly .
