We stumbled upon this osteria by pure chance, drawn by the Roman cuisine. We were immediately greeted with great hospitality and courtesy. Their promises were kept; the atmosphere is intimate and makes you feel at home, and the traditional Roman dishes are masterfully crafted with respect for seasonality (something not to be underestimated).
We'll definitely be back, especially because we want to try more. 😋

It might not look inviting from the outside, but once you sit at one of their tables, you'll be treated to a truly authentic experience, without being overly fussy. The food is truly excellent: the gnocchi with white ragù and the carbonara are incredible. The homemade tiramisu is irresistible. The lady who runs everything is incredibly kind, the young waiter is always smiling, and the big cat is a real character. We'll be back!

In my opinion, the place needs updating. Even though the food is homemade, why not give it a more modern and comfortable location? The bathroom could use a complete overhaul. But that doesn't mean it's not a quaint place with excellent food. It might be a little slow, but I think that's the beauty of Roman cuisine: you can eat heartily and slowly. Er Micione is friendly and very nice. Investments are needed to make it an even more welcoming place. Recommended.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the service impeccable, and the food was very warm. The braised cheek was exceptional (without taking anything away from the rest). Highly recommended.
