Welcoming atmosphere, fast service, and good food.
Hand-cut tartare with bagna cauda and savory zabaglione, tripe with mushrooms, and a dessert of cookies in coffee with butter cream.
A good Barbera wine. Recommended!

I couldn't ask for anything better...on my birthday,with my family,on choosing this restaurant...excellent..from all points of view✨my compliments to Chef Daniele👏..super quality..everything delicious,excellent service...really very happy to have discovered this 'local delicacy'🤩

Apparently nice environment without pretensions. Unfortunately, late June day, scorching heat and restaurant without air conditioning, not even blades to move the air a bit, choice of the restaurateur rather questionable considering that you sweat for lunch!!
Decent appetizer, good bread, normal cheese platter, average first courses, pity that the octopus ordered was truly inedible. Salty, unpleasant smell and very questionable consistency.
In their favor that they did not include the four second courses of octopus in the bill. Expense, excluding the second courses, two first courses, two appetizers, a bottle of their own white wine, four sorbets, three coffees and two bottles of water €130. So the average of 30/40 is to be considered only first course or only appetizer
I would not go back obviously.

Cool cave tavern like restaurant with piedmont cuisine. Tried Gavi wine and super mineral like and fruity. Reasonable price - recommend the ravioli and the octopus and potato

Such an inconspicuous entrance, and then such a lovely little dining room with a wonderful atmosphere! The gentleman was attentive and friendly, and the small, fine menu was exciting. We had a fantastic vitello tonnato with three different toppings, an open lasagna, and a fantastic risotto. Afterwards, we took the opportunity to pick up a carton of sparkling wine. Parking is available diagonally across the piazza. We'd be happy to go back anytime!

Zuerst wurden wir zu zweit an einen kleinen Tisch im Hauptgastraum gesetzt, dort war aber vor der Theke Lautstärke und Nervigkeit der gespielten Musik der Grund, dass wir uns ins Nebenzimmer gesetzt haben.
Die Weinkarte umfaßt hauptsächlich Weine des Weingutes Ghio (Inhaber des Lokals), der Spitzengavi war mir dann leider zu heftig, der als Alternative bestellte Rosé ganz gut, aber das nachbestellte zweite Glas wurde von der jungen Dame vom Service vergessen. Überhaupt war es bei beiden eigentlich netten jungen Damen vom Service nicht so einfach, die Aufmerksamkeit zu erregen, wenn man etwas haben oder fragen wollte.
Zum Essen: Sehr interessant, rustikal und gut eine Spezialität von Gavi, der Preßkopf vom Kalb (Testa in Cassetta), noch besser das "Tonnato ai tre modi". Auch gut, aber wenig gewürzt die Ravioli di Gavi mit Ragu in Rotwein. Leider überhaupt nicht gut, weil offensichtlich zu wenig gewässert und auch gewürzt, die Kutteln mit Pilzen und Bohnen. Schade, sowas esse ich sonst sehr gerne. Dafür aber recht gut das Risotto Genovese, das mein Freund als Hauptgericht hatte. Insgesamt alles OK , aber nichts, was begeistert hätte, obwohl das Motto des Restaurants die Zubereitung typischer lokaler Gerichte ist.

Ottimo il cibo, ma la cortesia lascia molto a desiderare. Non dico di stendere il tappeto rosso, ma almeno un saluto e un sorriso non sarebbero male.
