When we left Brazil and came to Florence, we had the goal of visiting Osteria Pastella. What a magnificent experience! Order the pasta, which is made right at the table, dipped in a huge grana padano cheese. Simply sensational!

Absolutely stunning pasta - simple and delicious, yet with complex flavours. One of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. We had to wait in queue for ~1 hour but it was genuinely worth the wait, despite whatever hype you might hear about it. The staff are friendly and the ambience is really warm, cosy and welcoming. Also loved the free “welcome” Prosecco

This restaurant is simply perfect.
We visited because my child wanted to watch the preparation of the cheese wheel truffle pasta in person. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see it properly as it was cooked together with another table’s order. While the food was absolutely delicious, my child was quite disappointed, and we mentioned this to the waiter.
In most restaurants, such feedback would be met with a quick apology and nothing more. But this place was different. They truly understood my child’s feelings and went above and beyond to turn the evening into something magical.
What started as a moment of disappointment became an unforgettable dining experience. I am deeply grateful to this restaurant for making that happen, and especially to Supinia for taking care of us until the very end. My child says, “You’re the best,” and sincerely wants to thank you from the bottom of their heart.

This was on the same street as our hotel, and EVERY NIGHT, there was a queue around the corner! We decided to book in advance, it can be done through their website but I would definitely recommend doing it like this. We arrived for our dinner and were asked to wait for maybe 10 mins. During this time, a woman in the ‘no reservation’ queue fainted! This is just to illustrate how long she had been queuing for. All staff were very helpful and professional.
Now, for the food:
There are pictures all over Instagram if you want to see what you’ll be eating, but it was 10/10. Every dish was well presented, and most had some kind of table side extravagance. Flambe cheese wheel truffle pasta, tiramisu, etc, all done with pizzazz!
I would definitely recommend but I would also book in advance. Worth the wait (albeit up to 2hrs with no reservation) but nobody likes queuing and it happens a lot in Florence!

Very overrated and disappointing!
All that queue! I was expecting something exceptional... I was very disappointed. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. The prices are very high for what it is, and the service, while efficient, was still too rushed to free up your seat for the next person. It's a real business, a well-oiled factory. I don't know who started the trend, but we're getting a bit ripped off. Plus, the decor is downright dated. We paid €200 for five people, including two children, without alcohol or dessert...
In short, the food was good, but not exceptional, and the service was efficient but a little too rushed. I tried it, but I certainly won't be back.

Al igual que muchos otros, vi este lugar en TikTok y quería probarlo por mí mismo - puedo confirmar que la pasta viral de rueda de queso de trufa es impresionante y estoy muy contento de haberlo pedido. Sí tuvimos que hacer cola durante alrededor de una hora (porque las reservas en línea se llenan con antelación) , pero amablemente nos trajeron una bebida complementaria para tomar mientras esperábamos. Lo único un poco decepcionante fue que, una vez dentro, se sentía un poco como si te estuvieran apurando para que la gente pudiera entrar y salir lo más rápido posible. Además, debido a su gran popularidad habrá muchos teléfonos / personas filmando la rueda de queso a medida que se acerca al restaurante, así que ten esto en cuenta si eso es algo que te molestaría.

Amazing food!
It wasnt possible to book as there was not any availability the days we wanted.
But we went around 7:30 pm we waited for around 45' which was worth it!
The staff was very polity and helpful
They served us a prosceco while we were waiting ...
There was a long queue but usually you find a sitting ..
Everything we tasted was delicious !!!!!!
