Osteria Padi In Roma

We went back to this place two days in a row and honestly wished we had made it three in a row. We had caprese, carbonara, saltimboca the first night and then margherita pizza, fettucine with ragu, tiramisu and chocolate pannacotta the second. The staff was SO warm and friendly and even recognized us the second night and found us a table quickly even though they were quite busy. This place is the definition of italian hospitality. Thank you so much and hope we can meet again ❤️

Restaurant very close to the Vatican. Food with excellent value for money.

The food is exceptionally delicious. Service is good. Prices are in line with Roman standards. Located just a few minutes' walk from St. Peter's Basilica, the osteria is ideal for a post-work break with cold drinks and delicious snacks and dishes.

We had dinner at this osteria and it couldn't have been a better choice. The food was delicious, everything was incredibly fresh, with the fresh porcini mushrooms beautifully displayed in a small box near the kitchen—fantastic. The service, despite the restaurant being packed, was quick, and the staff was incredibly friendly. They took the time to chat with us about our Sardinia. The blonde lady was incredibly smiley and friendly, even with our son. We'll be returning to Rome soon and will definitely be back to visit you again. Thank you so much.

After visiting St. Peter’s Basilica, I highly recommend this inn/restaurant tucked slightly away from the main square, perfect for avoiding the crowds. It’s a spot favored by locals, which speaks to its authenticity. The pasta is excellent – I especially recommend the daily specials, the bucatini, or the tonnarelli with seafood. The value for money is very good for the area, and the service is both friendly and attentive. A place you’ll be glad to return to.

Okay, I went to this restaurant on a mission--to try Rome's famous coda alla vaccinara. I didn't have it anywhere else so I can't compare, but wow was it delicious! So moist and flavorful. And the reason I didn't have it my first 2 days in Rome is that most places in the city center don't serve it. They just focus on dishes familiar to tourists. So this was a fantastic find-- en route to the Vatican and such a nice meal.

We were two Spaniards traveling through Rome. We went to dinner at Padí. We were impressed by the excellent service and, above all, the food. The pizzas were the best we've ever had. Everything was delicious and at a price everyone could afford. The food had a unique and incredible flavor; we left very happy. If we return to Rome, we'll stop at Padí.

This restaurant was closed on our first evening in Rome, so we called in on our second evening without making a reservation. Fortunately there was a table free inside. The food was good but not exceptional. Staff were friendly. One nice, quirky touch, was that they provided Shona with a 'bib' as she was having pasta amatriciana 🙂

Che bella scoperta l’Osteria Padi! Io e la mia amica ci siamo sentite coccolate dal primo all’ultimo minuto. Un’accoglienza davvero calorosa e un servizio impeccabile: un grazie speciale va al cameriere Emilio (se ricordiamo bene il nome), che con la sua gentilezza e disponibilità ha reso il nostro pranzo ancora più piacevole. Abbiamo gustato una cacio e pepe spettacolare, cremosa al punto giusto e grazie allo chef gentilissimo abbiamo potuto assaggiare anche la versione rivisitata con i fiori di zucca, una delizia!una matriciana divina, ricca di sapore e tradizione. La trippa alla romana? Un vero trionfo di gusto! E per concludere in dolcezza, un tiramisù ottimo, leggero ma goloso. Il conto? Più che onesto, soprattutto considerando che ci troviamo a due passi dal Vaticano. Un rapporto qualità-prezzo che sorprende positivamente. Consigliatissima a chi cerca cucina romana autentica, atmosfera accogliente e un servizio attento che ti fa sentire come a casa. Ci torneremo sicuramente!
