A charming little place serving excellent traditional Lombard cuisine, with several dishes featuring goose, as per the ciarlasca tradition. Excellent first and second courses, featuring top-quality ingredients expertly prepared. A more than decent wine list. Prices are reasonable for the quality.

Beautiful location, excellent dishes. We ate the goose ragù ravioli and the guinea fowl, both exceptional! The Giubilo di Perego wine was also very good. Recommended!

Ristorante Montegrappa is a little gem in the heart of Lacchiarella. It's impossible not to be intrigued and spend a few minutes admiring every little detail: it almost feels like a journey back in time. The cuisine doesn't disappoint either. The dishes are carefully crafted, original, and prepared with often unusual ingredients, but always paired with taste and balance. Each course tells a story and showcases the passion of those who cook. The staff is extremely kind, friendly, and always smiling: you immediately sense a familiar and welcoming atmosphere that puts you at ease. A warm, pleasant, and characterful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed dinner or an evening out of the ordinary. This is the second time I've returned to this restaurant for lunch in a short time. The lunch menu is a good and affordable option, and it's a very popular place. Unfortunately, by 1 p.m., most dishes are sold out, and the alternatives are often subpar. I had to opt for gnocchi, which, unfortunately, were rubbery and had no toppings whatsoever (I asked if I could have a piece of cheese on the side, just to top the gnocchi, and the only option was crescenza, which was one of the main courses on the lunch menu). I'm surprised a restaurant doesn't offer even a limited selection of cheeses. I tried ordering risotto à la carte instead, but it required two people, and I, alas, was alone (a little flexibility would have been appreciated). I had better memories of the first time, but this last one was a bit disappointing.

17/12/2025: I went to this restaurant for a business lunch on the recommendation of a colleague, and it turned out to be a great choice. Everything was excellent: the service was fast, friendly, and had an old-school touch in taking orders, which I appreciated. The dishes are meticulously prepared and surprisingly generous, which is unusual for a downtown restaurant. Special mention goes to the creamed cod and the fried fish, which was incredibly light and fresh. Finally, the excellent value for money is the icing on the cake. Congratulations!

26/09/2025: Atmosphere: 8/10 Backdoor 43 is one of Milan’s most unusual concepts. You get your own private room for an hour, with full control over the music and a setup that feels like a tiny living room surrounded by whiskey bottles. The intimacy can be a bit awkward for introverts since the bartender is part of your experience the entire time, so the usual social energy of a bar isn’t really present. The whole room functions as the backbar, and seating is fully private. Located along the canal next to MAG Café, the setting outside is vibrant and lively. Drinks: 8/10 Recommendation: BananaVardier The menu is very creative in design with a broad selection. Drinks are good in flavor and balance. Presentation is basic overall, with average glassware, simple garnishes, and straightforward ice. Coasters are nice. Service: 9/10 Service is essentially one-to-one with your personal bartender, making it extremely attentive. Water is provided on arrival. The bartender is both professional and very friendly. Reservations are mandatory, and pricing is average.
