Small but very welcoming place. Food above expectations and friendly service. Correct price. I recommend the place and booking.

Without beating around the bush… I wish I lived much closer to this restaurant. My partner had dinner here a few years ago during a visit to Matera. She insisted on coming back here and I must say it was all a pleasant surprise for me. During the reservation phone call we were clearly told that our table would be ready a little after the classic dinner time, with the possibility of a few tens of minutes of waiting. We showed up at the appointed time and since the table wasn't ready yet, we were given the opportunity to drink two glasses of wine immediately outside the restaurant, admiring the Sassi. The staff is very friendly and in no way cloying or forced. It really feels like having dinner at the home of cousins ​​from Basilicata. All this without lacking professionalism and correctness. We tried to order the cialadella and it was prepared with very fresh ingredients. Then the two first courses, served in a very curious way. In addition to the plating, I was really struck by the harmony of flavors (dragged prawns and pistachios). I'm rarely impressed by first courses: this one, however, I enjoyed from start to finish. I really wanted to order another one or go back for lunch the next day. Anyone who visits Matera MUST come and eat something in this fantastic osteria. Well done

Beautiful location in a typical stone vault, well lit. Very kind and friendly staff. Very very good and typically Matera food. We took a platter of cold cuts, a peasant-style olive leaf, an orecchiette with crusco pepper, turnip tops and fried bread, a tiramisu and a pie with figs. But the dish that thrilled us the most was the cold cialledda. Very tasty. Highly recommended

appena entrati ci si sente un pò oppressi.....veniamo sistemati ad un tavolo su di un soppalco con il tetto decisamente basso e senza finestre....quasi tutti abbiamo avuto un senso di oppressione che , a dire il vero, passa quasi subito. un gentilissimo cameriere ci da consigli sulle portate, che si rivelano utili e veritieri. buono l'antipasto ( varie portate per un antipasto misto alla materese che risulta veramente interessante), molto buoni i primi, buoni anche il dessert. paghiamo circa 40€ a persona ( e non 25 come indicato nel titolo) ma tutto sommato il prezzo è giusto.
