Excellent location, fresh fish and dishes revisited in an original way

I must say we left very satisfied. The fish is very fresh and you can taste it. The tuna belly prosciutto with figs was excellent. The first courses were also delicious: linguine with sea corn, lemon, and basil, and linguine with pistachio pesto and tuna tartare with mint and lime. The mackerel parmigiana was also excellent, but the marinated and grilled octopus was a bit disappointing (it wasn't the softest). The quality/price ratio was more than satisfactory. The only recommendation is for the wine list: a few more local labels and a few more sophisticated ones.

Pleasant atmosphere, not too big, with a pleasant, tidy, modern interior and air conditioning. They also have a few tables outside. Excellent selection both on the menu and on the daily menu. I also found it to be good value for money.

Truly exceptional restaurant, super fresh fish and incredible dishes! The tartare and raw fish are unique, as are the first courses and various fried dishes... everything is really, really good!! The staff is kind and helpful! Highly recommended!

Marè is a great seafood restaurant in Rome that I'd happily recommend for the excellent quality of its fish, the interesting variety of dishes offered, and the absolutely fair prices. I've been there several times and have always appreciated both the à la carte menu and the daily specials: from raw to cooked, the cuisine is consistently top-notch and never boring. I'm giving it 4 stars because I believe that, with a few small improvements, Marè could truly take its quality to the next level. In particular: – The service is always courteous, but the wait for dishes is often a bit long. – The outdoor area is pleasant, but I'd recommend moving the recycling bins slightly, as they're currently too close to the tables. – The tuna tataki, among the dishes I tried (all good and beautifully presented), was a bit overcooked compared to expectations, but that can happen and doesn't affect the overall rating. With these small improvements, I'm confident that Marè can establish itself as one of the best seafood restaurants in Rome for value. Full steam ahead!
