Osteria Maracuja In Roma

Our first time to Rome. Food here was fabulous!

Quick lunch for a pre-booked Colosseum ticket. Recommended by a Roman, and we were right to take it. They knew we were in a hurry and served us quickly. Prosecco for adults and juice for children were offered. There's no cover charge, and they're courteous and helpful without being intrusive. Very close to the Colosseum, but the prices are fair, with a variety of dishes and medium-high quality. Mr. Raffaello and all the waiters are very kind. The atmosphere is lovely. We'll definitely be back.

Every time I come back to Rome, I always come here to eat. I don't understand why everyone in the reviews says it's a tourist trap and that the prices are high (maybe I'm the one who doesn't understand anything then). For this carbonara, I paid €11 (considering the restaurant's location, I'd say it was very fair) and it was really good. The waiters have always been very kind every time. I highly recommend it.

Very good place to have breakfast next to the Colosseum

I went to Osteria Maracuja with a friend and first I thought ok maybe is just another place close to center but then food came and it felt really homemade, like someone’s nonna cooked it, not perfect on the plate but tasty. I had pasta with seafood, a bit messy with shells but flavor was strong, fresh, maybe too salty or maybe I just had too much bread with it, don’t know. My friend had meatballs, soft inside and that tomato sauce that sticks a bit on the fork, I liked that. The waiter came slow, like we waited, but then he smiled and said something in Italian I didn’t get, felt friendly so I didn’t mind anymore. Noise was there, people laughing, someone talking loud on the phone, actually made it feel alive, like not touristy fake. Prices, yeah not cheap, but for the quality and the spot it kind of makes sense, not like robbery but still you think twice before dessert. I left with that Roman dinner vibe in my head, maybe I exaggerate but I would come back.

O garçom era muito simpático, nos convenceu a comer no nosso idioma, português. A comida estava deliciosa, o capuccino também bem servido e preço justo.
