Osteria L'Orto dei Mori In Venezia

We just spent 8 days at Ai Mori d'Oriente and could not speak more positively about our experience. The rooms and common areas are all comfortable and keept immaculately clean. Ai Mori has something of the warm and cozy feel of a boutique hotel, despite the elegant decor. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They made us feel at home. The location is what I would like to underscore, above and beyond all the other positive values. Located in the Cannaregio district on a small canal, the hotel facilitated our immersion into a Venice I could not have imagined: morning and late evening walks with few people and no tourists on the streets. Iconic canal views without the hordes and their selfies. Venetian families walking their children to school in the morning. Children playing in the open "campi." If what you want is to roll out of your bed and descend into the masses streaming along the Strada Nova from the train station to Rialto and on to Saint Mark's this is not for you. If you want a quiet and beautiful setting, a window onto what is left of Venetian Venice and the peace that will allow you do reflect on all this, I highly recommend this hotel. One final note: this peace and beauty come with a tradeoff. You will need to walk 20-25 minutes or you will need to ride the vaporetto up and down the grand canal if you plan to visit the major tourist sites. Although this may not be optimal for all, for us, it was a plus. I was able to take zillions of pictures of Venice's major palaces and canal life and gained a fairly deep and broad knowledge of Venice's urban grid, geography, and architecture. And we heard a wonderful amount of Venetian dialect!

Lovely hotel with amazing staff and affordable prices.It's in a quiet neighborhood with wonderful restaurants nearby, but a little far from the main attractions, which was nice because it allows for a quiet place to decompress. This was my second time staying here and would definitely come again. Close to Madonna sel' Orto stop on Alilaguna for access to airport, Murano, etc. staff organizes free trips to Murano for glass blowing experience.

We didn't know the hotel when we booked it, but if we return to Venice, we'll definitely stay there again. It's a charming hotel. Everything was very clean, the rooms were large, the breakfast was excellent with a good selection of both savory and sweet options, and the best thing about the hotel was the staff—super friendly and attentive, they explained everything perfectly and gave great advice.

Superb hotel with tasteful decor. Attentive staff. Spotlessly clean. Very generous and varied breakfast buffet. The cocktail bar was a welcome treat after a long day of walking. Very quiet, somewhat secluded from the hustle and bustle of St. Mark's Square. High-quality service for a 4-star hotel. We highly recommend it.

We've been coming to this hotel for over 15 years. Impeccable service and perfect value for money. The hotel is located off the main roads but in a great location.

The Hotel offers excellent accommodations and is located in a lovely area, with many good restaurants within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely an option to consider if you are looking for a good experience.

We stayed three nights at the Ai Mori d’Oriente Hotel in Venice and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very pleasant, and the multilingual staff is incredibly attentive, always offering excellent advice for sightseeing and getting around. The breakfast is good and varied. The rooms are small but very well laid out, and we enjoyed a quiet room, which is a real plus in Venice. A major highlight: during our stay, we were treated to a lovely aperitif offered by the hotel, as well as a visit to a glass factory in Murano, with transportation by water taxi directly from the hotel. It is also possible to take a canal tour departing from the hotel for a small fee. Unfortunately, we weren't able to take this tour due to insufficient numbers, which was a shame, but the staff explained how to do the tour ourselves using the vaporetto (water buses). A truly excellent hotel that we highly recommend.

Simply the most beautiful location in Venice... If you like authenticity

What a wonderful hotel! Excellent reception, clean and pleasant, well-located, and with very nice rooms. It's in a very Italian area, and the only downside (which depends on your preferences) is that you have to walk a bit to get to the main area (which is really appreciated because it allows you to explore Venice properly).

Excellent hotel! The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were very comfortable and clean, and everything was great overall. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The only drawback, which is more of a heads-up than a real issue, is that it's located in an area where you'll have to walk quite a bit to reach the city center. However, this wasn't a problem for us as it allowed us to explore more of Venice. Highly recommended.
