What a great spot to eat. The waitress was so kind and spoke English. She helped us order and put together a beautiful appetizer platter for us that was not on the menu. Such a nice spot. This used to be part of a 1,000 year old castle!

Beautiful place, exceptional staff... it is a tavern and therefore as such it is rustic but at the same time you can feel the history of the place as soon as you enter. A hug and thanks from Florence :)

Abbiamo prenotato in questo ristorante perché ci aveva incuriosito l’idea di una cena in una torre di un castello del 1300.
Avevamo letto delle recensioni molto positive: e quindi avevamo aspettative altissime.
Le nostre aspettative sono state superate!!
Gli antipasti della signora Franca, gustosi abbondanti, sfiziosi. La parmigiana nelle terrine, la focaccia barese, il calzone di cipolla unici! Anche i primi che abbiamo preso spaghetti all’assassina e orecchiette con le rape erano buonissimi. La signora ci ha fatto assaggiare anche i suoi panzerotti: mai mangiati dei panzerotti così buoni e allo stesso tempo leggeri. In una sola parola tutta la bontà della cucina tipica e l’accoglienza pugliesi.

Hey you! Are you visiting Puglia and wanna taste the authentic apulian food not falling in a tourist trap? Well, this the place for you! A few kilometers far from Bari and easy to reach by train, there's this little spot in Bitritto with a lovely and warm atmosphere and real traditional food, easy and simple as it should be. And the price...is extremely good too! Look at the pictures and give it a try!

We were invited to a dinner by friends with a total of eleven people. The location is a very ancient structure made entirely of stone with a large fireplace. We took some
appetizers including three platters of cured meats, three pans of mushrooms, three of potato pizza, three of parmigiana, three of pancakes, three omelettes, one cut, eleven panzerotti, 2 liters of local divine water, some desserts and liqueur. I count around €300 so €27 each.

Little or nothing to say about the food, the place is beautiful but all ruined by a decidedly overpriced bill for an appetizer, 5/6 main courses and 1 panzerotto, some beer for a total of €30 each.... what can I say? ... they will hardly see me again
