Osteria le civette In Citerna

Excellent food in a welcoming atmosphere, with helpful and professional staff. A wonderful family experience.

The restaurant also extends outside during the summer season. We had lunch on the ancient Citerno promenade. The food is intentionally refined and tastes good. The wait was a bit long, but the owner apologized. The prices were average.

Group dinner with friends, incredible location, breathtaking views, like the entire village. Wonderful welcome, friendliness, and elegance, superb menu, from appetizer to dessert, everything truly excellent, quality ingredients prepared to perfection. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back.

What a location! Beneath/inside the old city wall. A truly intimate experience. The restaurant is otherwise quite understated, but the food and presentation reveal a hidden talent. Delicious food and drinks!

I must offer my heartfelt compliments to the owner of this magnificent osteria. On Monday, September 8th, for dinner, I ate magnificent tagliatelle with fresh porcini mushrooms: a unique flavor and creaminess. Then came an apple and pecorino salad, which was so simple and meticulously crafted, with the pecorino and apple diced into perfectly equal pieces, making it a game to try and decide whether it was apple or pecorino. He also carefully baked the rosemary he used for flavor into the pasta, so it crumbled in the mouth without being too harsh. Congratulations again to this restaurateur, who clearly carries out his work with extreme care and dedication. Oh, and the wine (Montefalco) was sublime!

I'm not going to Citerna. First I'll go to dinner at Gloria and Luciano's Le Civette, and then I'll enjoy Citerna! Congratulations always Ad maiora

An amazing restaurant, delicious dishes, unique atmosphere

The place is enchanting. Relaxing, gentle, intimate, and bright. And then dining under a loggia with a splendid view and a pleasant breeze is fantastic. You can sense the passion and care of Chef Gloria in the kitchen and Luciano in the dining room. In fact, we loved everything, from the delicious mushroom croquettes, to the pici (fabulous) and the tartare, all the way to the dessert. Thank you, Luciano and Gloria. Hugs and see you soon. Siamo arrivati in questo paesino situato in alto sulla collina, con vista sulla campagna intorno a Monarchi, su consiglio di amici frequentatori assidui di questa Osteria situata nel camminamento medioevale. E’ possibile mangiare all’interno (arredato con mobili di vari colori e con alle pareti opere di giovani artisti) o all’esterno nel camminamento. Siamo stati accolti da Luciano , che gestisce il locale, e subito messi a nostro agio con offerta di una bottiglia di buon vino( ha una cantina varia) e schiaccia e grissini fatti in casa ed una scelta di antipasti. La giovane e simpatica chef Gloria offre una ottima cucina con prodotti del luogo, seguendo le stagionalità, attenta alla alta qualità delle materie prime, rivisitando in maniera moderna e personale le classiche ricette regionali ( siamo al limite fra Umbria e Toscana). Ottime le fettuccine fatte in casa al doppio pomodoro con ricotta salata, le paste ripiene , la guancia di maiale croccante e la tartare di manzo locale. Buonissimi i dolci tutti fatti in casa , tra cui spicca la panna cotta al latte di mandorle e gelatina di sambuco. Torneremo senz’altro per gustare anche altri piatti sicuramente ottimi.
