Osteria le civette In Citerna

Excellent dishes, the waiting time between one course and another is partially justified by the fact that everything is freshly prepared. The cappelletti in capon broth and the lasagna with exceptional mushrooms. The venue is perfect and set in a beautiful setting. The price of 50 euros for the complete menu is certainly adequate for the offer. I would have liked to go back for New Year's Eve dinner but they only offer à la carte menus. Must try.

Very nice and particular location, set in the walls of the Borgo di Citerna, truly suggestive as a place. Welcoming and well cared for internally and very characteristic on the outside. Good food. Good service.

Wonderful and peaceful dinner in a cozy and refined environment. Very good and original dinner, with innovative and delicate combinations, from the welcome entree to the dessert. I will be back to try the rest of the menu!! The gnocchi were delicious

Ho trovato questo ristorante ottimo sotto tutti gli aspetti. Innanzi tutto la posizione; nella bella stagione si può scegliere tra le sale interne, fresche e luminose, ed i tavoli lungo i camminamenti medievali, una singolare stradina sotto antiche volte che si affacciano sul paesaggio circostante. L'accoglienza è gentile e sollecita; il menù non troppo ampio ma con scelte sapientemente diversificate fa in modo di accontentare un po' tutti i gusti. Anche le preparazioni sono un equilibrato mix tra il tradizionale e l'originale; le porzioni non eccessive permettono di gustare più portate. Tutti i piatti ordinati erano molto buoni, con una menzione speciale per gli antipasti. E' bene prenotare, ho visto che il ristorante è conosciuto e frequentato. Ultimo ma non ultimo una toilette impeccabile. I prezzi sono in linea con la qualità offerta.

We were traveling through Citerna on the Way of St. Francis for a night and this was our only option for dinner. We are so glad we went! The location is historic and charming. The service is welcoming and helpful. The food was amazing. Some of the best these New Yorkers have had in our Italian travels. Try the ravioli with rabbit ragu and/or the roasted guinea fowl. Excellent!
