We had lunch at Osteria Le Civette and the experience was outstanding - the food was intricate and full of flavors and the service/ambience was perfect. We‘ll definitely dine here again next time we’re in the area!

The dishes are excellent; the wait between courses is partially justified by the fact that everything is freshly prepared. The cappelletti in capon broth and the lasagna with mushrooms are exceptional. The restaurant is perfect and set in a beautiful setting. The price of €50 for the full menu is definitely worth the price. I would have liked to return for New Year's Eve dinner, but they only offer an à la carte menu. Definitely worth a try.

The restaurant also extends outside during the summer season. We had lunch on the ancient Citerno promenade. The food is intentionally refined and tastes good. The wait was a bit long, but the owner apologized. The prices were average.

Group dinner with friends, incredible location, breathtaking views, like the entire village. Wonderful welcome, friendliness, and elegance, superb menu, from appetizer to dessert, everything truly excellent, quality ingredients prepared to perfection. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back.

What a location! Beneath/inside the old city wall. A truly intimate experience. The restaurant is otherwise quite understated, but the food and presentation reveal a hidden talent. Delicious food and drinks!

I must offer my heartfelt compliments to the owner of this magnificent osteria. On Monday, September 8th, for dinner, I ate magnificent tagliatelle with fresh porcini mushrooms: a unique flavor and creaminess. Then came an apple and pecorino salad, which was so simple and meticulously crafted, with the pecorino and apple diced into perfectly equal pieces, making it a game to try and decide whether it was apple or pecorino. He also carefully baked the rosemary he used for flavor into the pasta, so it crumbled in the mouth without being too harsh. Congratulations again to this restaurateur, who clearly carries out his work with extreme care and dedication. Oh, and the wine (Montefalco) was sublime!

San Pietro Sopra Le Acque

04/12/2025: My husband and I got married at San Pietro Sopra Le Acque on July 7, 2024, taking advantage of factors we considered essential in choosing the venue: the possibility of having a religious ceremony on-site at the church on site, the proximity of us and our guests (almost all being local), and the reception being held in the park. Our day was exactly as we had imagined, so much so that our friends often remember it as one of the happiest weddings they've ever been a part of (we're probably biased in describing it that way ourselves!). The weather initially seemed to be unhelpful, clearing up only shortly before the ceremony, and for this I will never be able to thank all the staff who went out of their way (despite the tight schedule) to allow us to hold the outdoor reception as we wanted. We will never forget it!
14/09/2025: A property with tremendous potential, but in my opinion, it's been underutilized due to poor management. The location, a renovated monastery, is very beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast, contrary to what some of the reviews read, isn't exceptional; it's a standard buffet with industrial, not artisanal, products. The dining room staff is quite attentive to guests' needs, while the reception staff needs training as they're unable to handle standard guest requests. In our case, they messed up the quote first and then the room, so much so that upon arriving at the property, without being informed, we found ourselves in an economy room despite having paid for a classic room. When we pointed this out, they told us that nothing would change, that the rooms were the same, and that ours was the last room available.

07/02/2026: Welcoming restaurant, excellent service, delicious cuisine, highly recommended
23/01/2026: It's located just outside Foligno, and we would have had a hard time finding it without a GPS. The building itself would hardly be recognizable as a hotel and restaurant were it not for the small sign above the door. A narrow staircase leads first to a small coffee bar, and you wonder if they really serve lunch here. Only after passing the bar and entering the dining room through a narrow passage do you realize it's larger than it appears from the outside. Before we even ordered anything, a plate of bruschetta and a bottle each of still and sparkling water were placed on the table. We didn't see a menu on our first visit; instead, the chef explained verbally what was available that day. However, on our second visit almost two years later, there was a printed menu. The coratella di agnello as a starter was very good, as were the tortellini with truffles. . ... On our second visit to the restaurant, the two of us shared the "Antipasto misto completto" with various cold and warm appetizers, followed by "Faraona in salmì" [deliciously prepared guinea fowl] and "Strapazzo uova al tartuffo" [scrambled eggs with truffles]. We didn't have room for dessert after that, but we gratefully accepted a bitter and a limoncello. We were equally satisfied on our third visit in January 2026, and there's nothing to add to the description above.
