Osteria La vela In Verona

Compliments to the chef!!! Excellent and plentiful dishes!! They're so friendly!! Small but cute and welcoming! Worth a visit!

Delicious dishes and nice service, but be aware of the prices ! as anywhere in Verona..

The food was really good and the service as well. However be careful when you order dishes where it says "min. 2 People". The price is per person and not in total (we paid 32 euros for risotto because it was not explained properly, otherwise we would not order it for such price).

Excellent osteria in the heart of Verona where you can enjoy the city's typical dishes. A simple, family atmosphere, efficient service, and a talented chef. We tried the horse meat ragù with polenta and the gnocchi with donkey meat ragù, both excellent. Highly recommended if you're looking for well-prepared, reasonably priced local cuisine.

My favorite tavern in downtown Verona, without a doubt! Old-fashioned, with limited seating, period wooden furnishings, scattered objects, and friendly service that makes you feel at home! And they have tastasal risotto!! Insane!! Downside: closed on weekends :( But I went there for lunch at 4 pm with Spanish friends, and they welcomed us very well.

We were spending a day in Verona and wanted to have a nice Italian dinner in the evening. Then we found this osteria on maps and we were immediately hooked by this restaurant. The food and the service exceeded every expectation. We had dinner, wine and tiramisu for a really good price. We spend the whole evening playing cards here so if you want to grasp the Italian cuisine combined with the ambiance we would definitely recommend coming here. There is limited space inside to eat so I would recommend reserving.

I've been to many restaurants in Italy and can confirm that if you want to eat like your grandparents, you absolutely must try Osteria La Vela. Every dish was wonderful. The dinner was delicious.

Unfortunately, we didn't have such a good time this evening. The food was massively overpriced for the quality. Even worse was the incredibly stupid music that played incessantly. American disco funk of the worst kind. It was nothing.

Carbona 50/10 and tiramisu and coffee 100/10 😉

Excellent service and atmosphere. Everything was very welcoming. Very nice, and the food was excellent!
