Osteria La vela In Verona

We loved the place. We found it by searching on Google maps and seeing the good reviews it had we had to go try it. It is a bit difficult to find because it is hidden but they have even put up a sign to let you know that the osteria is there. We didn't see the time well because when we went they were taking a break, even so they gladly assisted us. He is a very nice man who recommended one of the best dishes I have eaten on my trip to Verona, a risotto with peas and various types of cheese. And the tiramisu... very good too. Both the atmosphere and who runs the restaurant are totally authentic and I totally recommend going to eat here. 10 out of 10.

This Osteria will be on our list when we get back to Verona. Such an authentic experience and friendly and wholehearted staff. Note that they do not speak English really well but that just ads for the authenticity. They also are older people so keep in mind that they have their Italian cuisine culture that they comply with. We ordered burrata con pomodoro for start and some Bigoli with duck and Bigoli with DONKEY as the main course. Both were amazing and truly authentic. Gotta love this Osteria and what they stand for.

It takes a while until they serve you, but it's worth the wait. It's spectacular. The Tagliatelle tartufo e funghi is amazing. As well as the eggplant parmesan lasagna. Marvelous.

We went to this place to eat since we had read very good reviews and we liked it a lot. The food was delicious and the quantities were very correct. The owner (we think it was him) was very kind and charismatic with us and couldn't communicate perfectly since we don't know Italian. The only “bad” thing to comment would be that the bathroom is one of those that has a hole in the floor and it takes a while to bring you food, but it is so worth it! :) Also keep in mind that there are some dishes that you need a minimum of 2 people to order, which is understandable, but it is good to know before you go.

Simple restaurant, perfect for those looking for an authentic Italian food experience. Cozy and small space, away from the hustle and bustle of the center of Verona. We ordered the spaghetti bolognese and the meat lasagna and both were delicious, sometimes I still think about these flavors.. 🥹 For dessert we were suggested the house tiramisu, not to be missed! The owner was always concerned about providing us with the best experience and was loving Not to be missed in Verona ❤️

Charmingly old fashioned little restaurant - Such a friendly old couple & delicious traditional food - including donkey! I had tagliatelle with truffle & mushrooms - tops. Also very reasonable. Seek it out!

Ottima osteria.. piatti locali preparati con dedizione, e un pizzico di amore. La differenza tra la cucina commerciale e l'autenticità impressa dallo chef ad ogni boccone. Polenta , gnocchi di patate al ragù d'asino, carna salata ottima...buon amarone e via dicendo...non vi svelo altro...dovete provare..la sensazione e il gusto "caldo" di questo posto che vi resterà nel cuore. Localino tranquillo, pregno di particolari che forse non interessano a tutti...ma narrano una storia...e l'impegno personale di chi lo gestisce, come dei "ricordi a cui tiene"...le persone fanno la differenza anche a tavola! a presto

Piccola osteria con personale squisito:gentile, sorridente, disponibile…ci siamo sentiti come a casa. Abbiamo mangiato i bigoli con ragù di anatra (molto buoni) e stracotto di asino con polenta (eccezionale!!). Porzioni abbondanti e ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Assolutamente consigliato!
