The atmosphere is beautiful, like dining in an old cellar. The tables are a bit small, but they're suitable for more intimate dining. The menu offers excellent selections of local dishes. The food is delicious, home-cooked, and the special feature is that it's served in a pan, so you portion out your own food (e.g., if you order three portions of agnolotti, you'll get one pan with three portions). The wine list is excellent, featuring many local products. The price is more than fair.

Osteria La Sosta is definitely worth a stop.
Excellent, traditional dishes.
Fair prices and generous portions.
Friendly staff and very fast service.
I think it will become a regular stop every time we return to the Aosta Valley.

We had the agriturismo make a reservation for us and dined there.
We enjoyed seasonal porcini mushrooms in risotto, pasta, and fritters, and then had rummache and tripe.
The tripe with whole prawns was particularly noteworthy.
It was by far the best thing I've ever eaten!
There was only two of us in the dining area, but the service was attentive, and it's a restaurant we'd definitely like to visit again.
As it's a popular restaurant, I recommend making a reservation.

A good tasting menu for €26, consisting of six appetizers, two first courses, and coffee. Wine and dessert are not included. You can eat well without any high expectations.

We had lunch for two on Saturday. The restaurant is very rustic, with local cuisine, excellent and generous portions, and very reasonably priced. The waitresses were very polite and friendly. It's a great place, and I'd definitely return.
P.S.
I'd avoid the whole wheat bread because, in my humble opinion, it doesn't really go well with such rustic cuisine.

Consigliatoci da un albergatore del posto, La Sosta è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Ottima qualità delle materie prime, consiglio sicuramente il tagliere con salumi misti e formaggi locali. Ottimi anche gnocchi di patate con fonduta e i delicati agnolotti. Prezzo onesto. Consigliato!
