Restaurant with typical Piedmontese cuisine.
Tasty and well-seasoned dishes.
Good quality agnolotti and veal with tuna sauce, the rest not excellent, but still well served.
It was worth the stop and I recommend it if you are passing by.
Not the best wine.

Calling it a tavern is superfluous, the raw materials are excellent, I have never eaten truly delicious herb polenta, not to mention game. Incredible price quality!!

Una bella sala con Archi abbassati e mattoni a vista, un ambiente caldo ed accogliente lungo la statale 26. Abbiamo assaggiato Le tipiche castagne valdostane con burro di montagna e la tradizionale zuppa di ajucche, tipico piatto canavesano. siamo Infatti al confine tra Piemonte e Valle d' Aosta. Dolci abbastanza anonimi. Personale gentile e professionale.

Quite OK, far from enthusing.
Simple, old style outside. Fancy, polished historical inside.
Personnel and manager are friendly, very much local and enthusiastic.
Food is local, traditional recipes, less than very good. We had:
- mixed cheese platter: 3 quite good cheeses, including a flavored one with red peppers and cumin, which may be traditional as we found similar ones in shops around.
- fritto misto alla piemontese: sweet and savoury breaded bits of vegetables, meats, sweet semolina and amaretto. Very well cooked, less abundant than we would expect for that price
- a very good mixed herbs soup, thick with cheese and possibly pork rind
- traditional Piedmontese stew ("brasato"), quite good and no more
- two local desserts, one of which was very good (bunet), the other, panna cotta, just fine
Noisy background music and a relatively high bill at 85.5 Euros for two with 1/4 liter wine effectively summed up the experience.
